Re: Return of the Pinstripes: A San Diego Padres Franchise [MLB the Show 18]

SAN DIEGO: Michael James has taken the podium and states there will be change. First, Mr. James states that he has been VERY impressed by the work of AJ Preller and the farm system he has built. The Padres have been named #1 farm system by MLB Pipeline. Due to Preller’s work, he will be retained and given an extension in hopes to lead the Padres to the promise land. Mr. James also states that Andy Green will be retained and not let go. Mr. James feels Andy Green has a great bond with the players and and has them trending in the right direction. Mr. James then addresses the elephant in the room. “I stated there would be a return to a past era in San Diego. I know fans have been clamoring for the Brown and Yellow to return, however this is not the era I am referring to. 20 years ago (1998) we played in the World Series vs the New York Yankees and have not since returned. In this time period, our organization had one of the best uniforms in sports with a Blue and Orange color Scheme that included beautiful white pinstripe home uniforms. This era will be returning to Petco Park this year!! Now fans, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but to make up for it somewhat, we will also be wearing Brown and Yellow for every Thursday game as part of our Throwback Thursday special for you all. The camouflage uniforms that celebrate our great military city will still be worn during Sunday home games”.
