What questions will you answer first when you get Madden 19?

I've got a running list of questions I need to figure out once I get my hands on Madden 19. I'll list mine below, please add what you guys are looking to figure out when you get the game as well.

- In previous Madden's there was a heavy increase in XP cost after the age of 25. Is it still going to be worthless to try and develop age 25+ players in Madden 19 because of XP earning/cost?

- I've been hearing that Man defense is OP in Madden 19. Is it going to be something that can be ran all game or will you need to mix it up with zone? On the other side of that what is Zone defense like now?

- Are purple zones still trash?

- There was talk about high point passing and aggressive catch being OP in Madden 19. Are these claims true?

- Will I need to turn the injury slider down to 10-15 if I don't want to have an insane amount of injuries like in 18?

- In Madden 18 Power moves were much better than Finesse moves. Is this still the case in 19?

The first thing I do is run 3 separate season sims to see who wins the SBs.

Then I sim 5 seasons to check what progression and player retirements are like.

Without a doubt the very first thing I'll do is hitting up practice mode and testing the new match coverages and depth chart options.

Going to play a few games to see if the AI running is as bad as it looked in the EA play videos. After that am going to sim a few seasons just to see how AI teams handle their rosters.

The general gameplay, for me, is the icing on the cake to what is longevity in CFM. Longevity, again, for me, is seeing the AI contentiously making educated and creative moves to help their particular team win games or rebuild into a contender.

First thing I will do is sim a couple years into the game and determine whether or not the AI is going to act like a potato. Things I look for will include:

- Does the AI continuously draft first round QB's despite having early 20 year old's with SS development?
- Do elite, veteran QB's, stay loyal to their longtime franchise, or pickup idiotic one year deals with the Jets?
- Can the AI create trades that actually benefit both parties?
- Can the AI understand that it's team is in a full rebuild and not resigning young talent is a detriment?
- Is there some sort of injury regression? QB hurts his throwing arm, what is the consequence?
- How do the ratings progress over time? Will I have 10 95+ QB's in year 5?
- Does the scheme fit/archetype system actually change results during PTM/simulation?
- IS THIS GAME GOING TO BE FUN FOR THE LONGHAUL!?

That's about it.

I will be looking at A.I. improvements in gameplay as well as logic in trades, free agency, and drafting. Also will mess around with draft classes as well as archetypes and added rating categories.

I want to see if anything was improved on since the beta. Hopefully none of the running was nerfed. I'm also going to look to the rosters to check for face scans. The three I'm looking for in my Dolphins CFM are Jimmy G, Calvin Ridley, and Nick Chubb. If Chubb isn't in, then I'll have to find some way to justify getting Barkley.

Usually I scroll through the rosters and check player models. For whatever reason player portraits/models play a big factor for me in enjoying this game long term. See who has their face scanned in the game, check out the rookies with all that in mind.

If a rookie doesn’t have his player portrait in the game I pretty much avoid them altogether. Idk why, just kills immersion.

- in coach mode, do i still have to press LB during every defensive play to ensure i have 11 on defence
- do formation subs stick
- do formation subs work with custom playbooks
- do i have the defensive plays that i used to have prior to m17/8 back?
- are there 5th year options
- rfas

1) does CPU vs CPU gameplay produce realistic stats and ' look good' .... followed by XXXXX hours messing with various sliders

2) does coach mode work

3) changes to player creation/ editing tools and abilities

Pretty much of a yearly ritual by now while I await week 1 rosters dropping before beginning to edit it for my CFM

Not so much of a single "question" but I usually fiddle with sliders and quarter length through my first preseason in CFM to get realistic play and stats. That way by the time the season starts I have it somewhat dialed in.

First thing I’m gonna look for is if they fixed the stat glitch where players with a suffix after their names were missing entire seasons of their career stats.
