Mann out for game against Michigan State

Mount Pleasant, MI - Earlier in the morning, it was announced that Alex Fisher would be able to play against Michigan State. However, it has been reported that defensive tackle, Cedric Mann, will be sitting out against the Spartans.

Mann went down on the practice field holding his right ankle. After a couple moments on the ground with the training staff, Mann was able to hobble off the field under his own power, for the most part.

After he got off the field, he spent some more time with the training staff. They have reported that the injury is a right ankle sprain, which will take roughly a week, possibly two, to heal to completion. This will mean that Mann, who has accounted for four tackles and a sack, will be out, most definitely, against Michigan State, and possibly out against Northern Illinois.

If Mann does not play against Northern Illinois, he will have to wait two weeks, after the game against NIU, to play Ball State on October 5th. Mann is the third player on the Chippewa defense to come down with an injury, and the fifth to have to miss at least one game.
