Butler out for 6 weeks with elbow fracture

Mount Pleasant, MI - The injuries for the Chippewa defense keep on coming. This time, cornerback Antonio Butler came down with an injury this morning after he went for a tackle on wide receiver Garrett Ward. He landed on his elbow awkwardly, quickly got up, grabbed his left elbow, and ran towards the sideline for the trainers.

According to the medical staff, Butler will have to miss 6 weeks. This means that he will not be able to play against Michigan State, Northern Illinois, Ball State, Georgia State, Miami University and Kentucky. This is the fourth injury on the defensive side on the ball and the second in two days after Cedric Mann went down with a sprained ankle. You have to wonder when the seemingly injury-prone defense will be up to full health, if at all, this season.
