From the new patch:

"Slightly reduced timing window for hitting, which increases the frequency of strikeouts and late counts."

I went from under ten strike outs a game (playing online DD) to pushing 20k's a game. I complete game breaker for me. They patched the fun out of the game.

If you're a dev please post here when you "unpatch" this. I'll pick the game up again then.

I'm sorry to hear that man. I to do not like the new patch, but I am not striking out at all. My problem is the hit variety is terrible. Your problem would be fixable if you were playing offline with sliders, but unfortunately since you are online DD your kind of stuck.

The funny thing is they released this patch because of all of the complaints over at the show nation, and 90% of them are saying this patch has made the game exponentially worse. I guess you don't know what you got til it's gone.

if you cant win 'em all, where's the fun in that? DD always gets neglected. Hopefully next year it will get some much deserved attention

Anyway I like how hard it is to hit. But I play on legend pitch speed maxed. So I'm kind of a psycho.

I’ve only played two games since the patch but I hardly notice a difference. Like ok they made the timing window slightly smaller; so instead of default 5 timing now it’s like they moved the slider to 4.5. Anyone who’s played with timing at 4 or 3 or 2 or even lower isn’t seeing anything as drastic here. I get it OP is about online but still, don’t pretend they went and bumped hitting difficulty from default Veteran up to Legend just by adjusting the timing window slightly. It’s like 97% the same.

Is it me or is there a post like this after every patch? They can release patch 1.02 that only fixes a single blade of grass facing the wrong direction at SunTrust and people will say hitting is broken because of it.

A few years ago the Mets and Nationals struck out a combined 35 times in 9 innings. I can only imagine the posts on this forum if that happened in The Show!

-- This is roughly 1 or 2 more swings per game to put the ball into play.
