Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)

NEXT UP: VIRGINIA (0-1)

3:30 PM/ET ABC

Virginia's only loss of the year came ot the hands of #13 LSU, 28-24. For the 4th week in a Row we face an NFL ready Quarterback. The ACC seems to be filled with them this year. Senior QB Derrick Horne Lit up LSU's Defense throwing for 391 and 3 Touchdowns. They fell behind early which took away Virginia's run game which they are led by a stud RB in JR Greg Oliver he averaged 4.5 yards per carry in that contest.

So far this season our weakness has been our Run Defense. Virginia has a very solid offensive line, with 3 All-Conference lineman on the interior. In order to win this game stopping the run is key. Virginia has a very capable WR corps, but not as strong as we've seen so far this year. So if we make them one dimensional I like our chances. Their best WR is Junior Josean Schmidt(6'2", 200).

On Defense, they dont have a great pass rush, but their run defense is solid. They held LSU to 51 yards rushing on the night. The interior lineman DT Raymond Hayes is a very good interior lineman. Backed by some solid savy veteran linebackers in Tank Green who had 17 tackles vs LSU, and fellow linebackers Martravius Smith and Brandon Williams. FSU's run game has been a weakness so far this season other than QB Sarderrious Minter. FSU has to start mustering up some kind of run game in order to become consistent.

FSU's speedy and explosive receiving corps will be matched by two All-ACC Corners Jesse Fredrick Jr(5'11", 182) and Michael White(5'10",161). The difference in this matchup will be the size FSU has at WR compared to the size limitation of UVA's DBs. Will be one to watch.

INJURIES
None.
*LT Kevin Lewis returns from injury after missing last week vs Memphis.

SEVERAL NOLES IN TOP 5 STATISTICAL CATEGORIES

Heading into Week 4, with 3 games under their belt, FSU has several players that are in the top of statistical categories. While the Noles do have an advantage by having played 1 more game than most schools after having a Week 0 Matchup vs Maryland, it's still interesting to see this compared to a season ago.

Currently Freshman QB Sarderrious Minter is second in the country in passing yards(896), first in the country in Touchdowns thrown(12), and second in the country in rushing yards(343).

Freshman Jamar Reid is 3rd in the country in receiving yards(356).

Freshman Defensive Lineman Zaveri O'Born is 6th in the country in Sacks with 3.0 for the season.

Currently several Noles lead the way in interceptions on the season as FSU has been a big takeaway machine early on so far this season.
