Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)

NEXT UP: VIRGINIA (0-1)

3:30 PM/ET ABC

Virginia's only loss of the year came ot the hands of #13 LSU, 28-24. For the 4th week in a Row we face an NFL ready Quarterback. The ACC seems to be filled with them this year. Senior QB Derrick Horne Lit up LSU's Defense throwing for 391 and 3 Touchdowns. They fell behind early which took away Virginia's run game which they are led by a stud RB in JR Greg Oliver he averaged 4.5 yards per carry in that contest.

So far this season our weakness has been our Run Defense. Virginia has a very solid offensive line, with 3 All-Conference lineman on the interior. In order to win this game stopping the run is key. Virginia has a very capable WR corps, but not as strong as we've seen so far this year. So if we make them one dimensional I like our chances. Their best WR is Junior Josean Schmidt(6'2", 200).

On Defense, they dont have a great pass rush, but their run defense is solid. They held LSU to 51 yards rushing on the night. The interior lineman DT Raymond Hayes is a very good interior lineman. Backed by some solid savy veteran linebackers in Tank Green who had 17 tackles vs LSU, and fellow linebackers Martravius Smith and Brandon Williams. FSU's run game has been a weakness so far this season other than QB Sarderrious Minter. FSU has to start mustering up some kind of run game in order to become consistent.

FSU's speedy and explosive receiving corps will be matched by two All-ACC Corners Jesse Fredrick Jr(5'11", 182) and Michael White(5'10",161). The difference in this matchup will be the size FSU has at WR compared to the size limitation of UVA's DBs. Will be one to watch.

INJURIES
None.
*LT Kevin Lewis returns from injury after missing last week vs Memphis.

SUSPENSION UPDATE

Violation of Team Rules
DE Sharaad Bonner (1 week remaining)

NCAA VIOLATION

SEVERAL NOLES IN TOP 5 STATISTICAL CATEGORIES

Heading into Week 4, with 3 games under their belt, FSU has several players that are in the top of statistical categories. While the Noles do have an advantage by having played 1 more game than most schools after having a Week 0 Matchup vs Maryland, it's still interesting to see this compared to a season ago.

Currently Freshman QB Sarderrious Minter is second in the country in passing yards(896), first in the country in Touchdowns thrown(12), and second in the country in rushing yards(343).

Freshman Jamar Reid is 3rd in the country in receiving yards(356).

Freshman Defensive Lineman Zaveri O'Born is 6th in the country in Sacks with 3.0 for the season.

Currently several Noles lead the way in interceptions on the season as FSU has been a big takeaway machine early on so far this season.

UP NEXT: BAYLOR (1-2)

2028 ACC Champions

ESPN 7:15 PM/ET

The road in the ACC gets no easier. FSU travels to Baylor this weekend to face the 1-2 Baylor Bears. The Bears losses this season came to #1 Texas A&M, 28-21, and to Duke 34-28.

The Bears possibly could have the most explosive Offense in the ACC this season. They have three outstanding receivers, Gavin Smith(6'0", 202), Clay Sanders(5'10", 185) and Anthony Johnson (6'1", 190). And boy they all can fly. Led by Quarterback William Smith who lit up FSU last season for over 400 yards, FSU looks to have some kind of revenge this weekend.

FSU has had all kinds of issues stopping the run this season giving up over 200 yards rushing for three straight games. And Baylor speedster RB Nick Williams (5'11" , 204) will not make things any easier. Williams could possibly be the fastest player on the Baylor team. FSU has their hands full around the entire offense of Baylor as they have an entire array of weapons.

Defensively, All-American CB Dan Davenport leads the charge for the Bears, and its a safe bet that he will be matched up with Freshman Jamar Reid most of the night.

Baylor is very stout up front with two of the best Defensive Tackles in the ACC. The bad news is FSU has yet to muster any type of consistent run game all season long. In order to win this game FSU must muster up some type of run game in order to come out on top.

BREAKING NEWS

Reserve RS Senior Linebacker Buster Burks has been suspended indefinitely according to Head Coach Cameel Verner for violation of team rules.

Burkes has played sparingly this season as a reserve but has been a key contributor on special teams.

FSU will return DE Sharaad Bonner, RT Marcus Black , and DB Bihadda Maddox to the lineup, who all have been suspended since Week 2 of the season.

INJURIES

None.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)

NEXT UP: #1 MIAMI (4-0)

8:00 PM/ET ESPN on ABC

Preview
This will undoubtedly be the toughest matchup of the year thus far. We welcome the # 1 ranked Hurricanes to Doak-Campbell Stadium this weekend. The Hurricanes made it all the way to the College Football Playoff Championship game last year and lost to Michigan in a thriller of a game. While Michigan has taken a step back this year, Miami has not. They have taken off. They defeated two top 5 foes already this season in #4 Oregon, and #3 Notre Dame in conference action. This will be the Seminoles first primetime game since defeating Maryland the first week of the season.

Key Matchups
Miami boasts probably one of the most star-studded rosters in the country. The only other team that probably has a better roster from top to bottom is Georgia Tech who currently is ranked #2 in the country. For starters, Senior Running Back Maurice Harrison (6'2" ,232) is a projected first round draft pick. He is a workhorse in every sense of the word. He's a big back and Miami uses him effectively. So far this season he's averaging 6.3 yards per carry and 8 touchdowns in 4 games this year.

The Hurricanes also boast a duo of explosive receivers, Chad Chambers (6'1, 177) and Brian Woods, Jr. (6'6", 220). Woods leads the team with 5 Touchdowns so far this season.

On defense, the Noles Offense will have their hands full. Defensive Ends,
Junior Gonzalo Koonce (6'3", 261) and Senior Thomas George (6'3", 253) have been causing havoc all year. Both ends are tied with 4 sacks a piece on the year, with multiple QB hurries to go along with it.

The Hurricanes boast probably the best cornerback groups in the country. Seniors Ricky Booker(5'11", 175) Blaike Jackson (6'0, 185), Junior Chris Key (6'1", 192) and and Redshirt Freshman Charles Ball-Walters (6'3", 188). The Quadruplet corners have a combined 11 Turnovers this season.

The leader of the Defense for the Hurricanes is Linebacker and All-American Senior Rory Owens (6'2", 230) He has 38 tackles and leads the team this season.

INJURIES
None.

SUSPENSIONS
LB Buster Burkes - Team Rules - 4 Games

RECRUITING OFFICIAL VISITS

FSU will host the largest official visit weekend of the Cameel Verner era. FSU will host over 15 prospects this weekend for the rivalry game on primetime television. Some of the visitors will include five star prospects:

WR Orbit Jackson
OG Donnell Cox
ATH Luron Dixon

Stay tuned as this should be a very interesting weekend.

Whats funny is that if you look at 1:31:40, you had RB that was even more open, so you threw it to the wrong guy and still won haha. What a finish!
