I really don't like how I have to click an extra button to run a play now. PS4, you have to click L1, R1 for positional playcalling, then the players icon then the play button. Screws up the whole flow I had with playcalling for years. Hoping it gets reverted back to the way it was before which was L1, player icon, play button. Having that extra button to push kills time on the clock and puts you in a bind towards the end of a shot clock if you want to run the play again...

23 was saying that this morning. Man I hope it's not that bad. At least give us the option to change it back. I wonder why they change such a fundamental thing.

Basically you can set those plays to make it easier for you though by making your fav 8 plays happen with just one button push.

You can assign those plays to whatever player you want to as well so it's a double whammy.

What do I have to do? I just want it to be like it was in past years with just a simple L1, player icon then whatever play I want. This extra button is pissing me off.

Go to coach settings and you can remove any of those default options - isolation, floppy, recieve screen, etc and add a play. The list of plays pops up when you click on those names.

Choose a play, then IF you want, you can assign any of those plays to whatever player you want to run it.

Once you set them to the plays you want, you just pull up the menu and hit the corresponding button to run the play.

So if you set Isolation to something like Quick 1 Horns Flex. You can leave it there as default or assign it to any particular player in the game.

You can also change the 3 freelances to any series or freelance in the game

All in the gameplan menu.. i can post pics if you need

I don’t think it will be that tough once we get use to it. You can use L1 to quickly get to your favorite plays/actions or dpad to get to dynamic/smart plays.

It may actually be a quicker method then hitting the icon and shifting through pages to find a certain play. Like 23 said, you can swap out the actions with your favorite play(s) and set them to run for a specific player(s). For example, If you like to run 15 fist for Kevin Booker, in the coach’s settings you can swap out floppy (shown in the L1 screen by default) with fist 15 and set it to run for Booker. Then in game hit L1, then the button for fist 15, and it will have Booker run it.

The CPU AI is a problem, even on Pro. Graphics are insane, playing the PC version. Like majority of the stuff that mods were needed for in the past, is there in the game by default now. The lighting is top notch. The sweat is good too. I am just blown away how much they improved in just one year from 2K19. Like this is a MAJOR LEAP in graphics, AI, off ball movement, play calling and presentation.

Good players definitely stand out. CPU AI is pretty aggressive too which is nice. They really nailed it with the player scans. Also like that the women hair moves when they are moving around the court. The difference in player speed and agility is definitely something you quickly notice. CPU is very quick to adjust and shut you down too, which is nice. Game is way more physical. You see it in screens, picks and when they battling in the post or boxing out for a rebound.

All the new graphical things they added during cut scenes is nice too. For an offline player, this game is perfect just the way it is. Hats off to them for improving so much in just one year.

On pc as well and the graphics blew me away. The lighting and shine of the court is finally accurate.

Love the new overlays.

Cloth physics seemed more active? If that makes sense lol

Only played one nba game and one WNBA game but I wasn’t losing the ball like crazy.

Foot planting and movement is so much better but there is still room for improvement.

I really enjoyed playing the WNBA game and I’ll probably do a season. I would definitely do a myleague if I could. Hopefully next year.

The WNBA player models seem to have massive feet lol could be just me though.

Really early to tell but this seems to have the potential to be my favourite 2k in awhile. Nothing stood out instantly as something that will bother me.

Yea looks like you can only select one player or the entire 5 on the court.

I don't mind assigning it to everybody if that's the case. Is it possible for me to differentiate between running the play for Steph instead of Klay? 2K needs to fix this because it's really messed up how I do plays...
