I pick 2k13 even though I don't think that's a popular choice. It's most 2k I played this decade.

2k11 is going to win.

For PS4 Era, I'd say 2k19 was my favorite. Smooth game play with best features in sports games.

I remember in 2k11 every player had the same release point; it was the crest of their jumper.



Last time I felt completely confident in my ability to dominate double teaming and bad defense with good basketball movement.



That sideways hop on the catch punished my friends for their over aggressive defense. Last 2k I played on couch with friends.

Wide open midrange pullups would hit. Game wasn't catered around the 3pt. etc

It was between 2k11,2k12, and 2k13 for me.

I think it may be closer than what people think between NBA 2K16 and 2K11. For me, it was easily NBA 2K11 for H2H competition. No badges. No shot meter. Defense. Simple gameplay when compared to newer generations. Interacting with the NBA 2K Insider. I think we still had the VIP stats, POG animations, and "descent" leaderboards.

OMG! I forgot about the OTF sliders. I almost prefer that over what we got now.

EDIT: It's funny watching other content creators trying to say that NBA 2K11 is "overrated", but most of them begin the video with "NBA 2K11 was the game that I played the most and had the most fun with, but...".

Why would you vote for an inferior game?

I love this game, it was revolutionary for 2k franchise, as it introduced alot of signature shots, and I kinda liked the street mode more with the amount of courts they had and the weather that you could change, the "Crib" was also fun with all these bobleheads, posters, darts and air hockey stuff. It was a fun game.

then you remember it wrong. players all had different Release points. thats why a guy like luke ridnour had a Release that Was impossible to Hit perfectly because it was do damn fast. it was later patched by 2k.

2k11 was the one that impressed me most for a time, the presentation and the "feel" is still top notch for a basketball game.

however 2k16 is just most superior game when it comes to raw mechanics and balance of the game for both offline and online gameplay. Games afterwards don't even come up close to what was achieved there.

To this day still a fantastic, fun simulation of NBA basketball. I still have my franchise file for my glorious Miami Heat threepeat franchise. 5 years in to that one. And have all those classic rosters still.

2K18 is my second place game (Love it and still play it and have not played 19 or 20). MJ Wizards classic rosters reign supreme for me with season replays.
