Make sure Freelance series order is on Dynamic and make sure Repeat on Success off.
Also, make sure the players have the play priorities of the plays your are plugging into the playbooks. For example, in the official 2k roster. Embiid doesn't have post up as a play priority so even if there's post up plays in the playbook, he won't get the plays called for him.
