    Rookie X-Factors in CFM

In my online CFM, I drafted an X-Factor RB. I'm in week 12, and his "hidden" dev trait turned off to show x-factor and I have gotten his overall to 81 so I am now able to see his x-factor ability. However, when in game, he does not have an "X" under his name and it is not possible to get him "in the zone".

It is almost like once in the game, Madden doesn't recognize him as an x-factor. Does anyone know the fix for this? I heard in MUT, you have to use the "Auto Generate Best Lineup" feature for it to turn on in game.

I've searched high and low for an answer but can't seem to find it anywhere. The only potential clue I have heard is that the "x-factor ability" will only turn on once a player reaches a minimum of 85 ovr. Any help would be appreciated!

X-Factors are unlocked at rating thresholds, so you are seeing the X-Factor that the player WILL have when they increase their OVR.

That makes sense, thank you! I also learned it is tied to the base overall, so if your player is an 83 overall but 85 because there is +2 for morale, then it still doesn't count as hitting the 85 threshold.

There was also a bug with X-Factor players only being treated as superstars in game. If you manually edit a normal dev player up to x-factor, then manually edit them back to normal then it goes away.

Just in case it turns out to be that.

Depending on when you started your CFM there are two sets of thresholds. CFM started now have much lower thresholds. I go into it in my thread.

My Nick Bosa is a 89 overall but I'm still seeing SS in game and not the X factor. Will it just show up one game or is there anything I need to do?

I drafted a 76 rated CB who ended up being an X factor and it showed automatically when it was unlocked. He hasn't reached 80 yet either

@Hubie Along with what everyone else is saying, How many other X-Factors do you have on defense? You can only have 3 active at once and you have to set it up in the lineup screen.

It's only Sherman with the X factor other than Bosa. Just a few others have SS. When I go to players Bosa it shows the X factor but when I go to to lineup it only shows Sherman.

You can try to edit his dev trait down to SS and save it, then re-edit him back up to XF. Only issue is itll re-roll his abilities so you might lose ones you like. Otherwise I don't know what would be causing that issue.

You don't have to settle for re-rolls. You can pick any ability that your player is eligible for. All you need to do is retire current character, choose to create a new one, and then pick the existing player you wish to edit. Tab over to where it shows there abilities and you can click on their icons to get a menu to pick from.

I have "lost" my custom coach this way, so that's something to consider, but it's definitely an option.
