You are welcome and I’m glad I could help both you and the community out.

Another quick update:
For now, adding another 35 players that are on the NHL rosters but not in the game. Rating isn’t my forte but giving it a shot. That’ll bring the created players to 53 total. After that, it’s get team rosters trimmed and then set the goalie gear

Didn't realize that I hit the minor league roster glitch with Det...Going to have to figure this out. I know the workaround is to trade players but everyone I'd need is already on the NHL squad...hmmm...

Might keep going and then when the editor is all ready, fix it. Unfortunately previous saves have become corrupt and I've gone to far to go back.

Well, good news-bad news. The good: the base file (trade deadline by molifox) had that same issue with the Red Wings. Bad news - no work around besides trading between NHL/Minor league team until nikethebike/snowdrift complete the roster editor. It'll make future updates tricky but not impossible! I'm going to continue on. I have more players to create. Hopefully by the time the play-in rounds begin, it’ll be ready to go.

What I release when I do will revolutionalize roster editing. This is not bragging. It is a fact.


I am pretty sure we will be able to move data quite easily between the games. This means that I believe that my 100% complete NHL roster that I made for NHL2K11 will work on an untraded base file from NHL2K10 aswell. Can someone send me an untraded NHL2K10 base file? I mean a default save without any changes.


If the teams have the same amount of players on each team on 10 and 11 the rosters will be compatible, however I doubt that is the case. The solution would be to create a base file on both games that has the same amount of players in order for all teams.

There is only a 2K10/2K11 editor as far as I know...

The games roster files are not straight up compatible.


The 2K10 file has 2303 active players until the last player. The 2K11 file has 2130 players until the last comparable player. There are some other unknown players following these on 2K11 but I've never exported more than 2303 from 2K10 as that was snowdrifts limit.


The NHL teams end on player 679 for 2K11 while there are 685 NHL players on the active rosters on 2K10.


It would probably be possible to push players from free agency into the minor teams and trade to get everyone in correct order until we have two matching roster files for minors and NHL clubs. It would however be a lot of work since trading must be done manually ingame.

- For now, goalie gear colors set to team default colors
- Lines set (according to dailyfaceoff.com) **some many not completely accurate due to player limits**
- Equipment for all NHL skaters- DONE!
- Positions for all active NHL players set using official team websites.
- DET has the "roster glitch" where you cannot call up or send down players. To get around this you can use the trade option to call up players. You can only swap players on the NHL/Minor roster.

May add the "black aces" in the future to minors if life and time allows.

Remember always edit old players already edited for not exceeded the maximum limit players editing of the game.

How do I use this roster? I've uploaded it to my usb stick and placed it in Content\E00000BA5A40225D\54540853\00000001\ with my other rosters and the game doesn't detect it.
