NXT Generation | Re-imagining the Beginning

Vince McMahon: Well, get the hell in here you two!

    .
    .
    .

Vince McMahon: Paul, Bard, welcome back. You know, you two have been under my wing for the last few years now, and you know just as well as I do that we are making NXT into an actual development show, not just a game show. I want to streamline that, and no wait until next summer. I am expecting our first show to be on December December 7th, 2011. We were thinking around June 2012 for our first show, but I think we can start now. What do you two think?

Paul Levesque: Well, Vince. You know I am in storylines on the main roster, right? I just don't know if I will have time to fully invest myself into NXT for the foreseeable future.

Vince McMahon: See, I knew that was coming. You are a busy man, Paul, and that is why I have Bard here as well. Bard, you have been on top of things for awhile now within the creative decisions for Smackdown. I want you to be the head producer and head of creative down in NXT to begin. When Paul has more time in his schedule, he will take control of one of those positions, and you will keep the other. How does that sound?

Bard: Honestly, that sounds pretty damn good, Vince. This is making me excited because I will have full control over a promotion, basically! I do have one request...

Vince McMahon: A request? Good ****. What is it?

Bard: I want to steal some main roster guys. Nobody super established, but some that I could maybe even repackage so they will have a longer shelf life.

Vince McMahon: Send me a list, and I will approve and reject. Now, lets get this started.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys! So, yeah...Bard is here! Lots of thinking went with doing this.

Smoove is doing a GREAT job with ECW in 2006, and I like reading his more than I like posting my 2007 one. So that's gone.

Graves is doing a phenomenal job with his version of the early 2000's, and again, I like reading his more than posting mine!

However, I absolutely LOVE my 1995 Universe, so that isn't going anywhere. My UFC one simply took too much time, and I found out after posting the first PPV, I simply like to play that game more than post about it. Live and learn from that one!

I need two Universes going at once or else I get bored playing these games with the same guys, so that is why I am producing this one, and I am thinking it will be like my 1995 one in which I will be doing for a long time, and not make anymore threads!

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    Backstory

It is December of 2011. Bard has been a producer and been in creative for the past 5 years. Bard is still only 29 years of age, so he is pretty young for the position Vince has trusted him into.

Now, this will be turning into the NXT you all know, but with different twists. Will the NXT North American Championship ever become a thing? Will The Shield leave NXT together? Will The Shield ever form? Bard gets to decide that. After every month there will be a "Bard Update", in which he will talk to Vince McMahon on a report of superstars he could see going to the main roster "soon" (within the next 6 months). Also, there will be repackaging of some superstars, will this version of NXT see Michael McGillicutty? Probably not. Will Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks come to NXT? Who knows! Anything is possible BABAY!

I can't help but chuckle every time I see a new Bard thread pop up. It's a meme at this point

But this one seems really creative and reasonable with you dropping the two others. Glad you're keeping the 95 one too.

Oh, I know lol. Why I acknowledge it! I always can't make up my damn mind BUT it seems like I finally have decided on two Universes I can really sink my teeth into, be creative, and not want to quit after doing around 10 shows and one PPV.

This one should be a good one!

              NXT Generation Wrestling
              December 7th, 2011

              Opening
Jim Ross: Hello everyone and welcome into the next generation of WWE superstars, this is NXT!

William Regal: It feels good to be here right alongside good ole' Jim Ross! I am William Regal, your deputy to the General Manager, Dusty Rhodes, and co-host with JR.

Jim Ross: We have some slobberknockers for you all to witness here tonight on our debut episode of NXT Generation Wrestling. This isn't the old game show NXT that you are used to, this is a developmental spot for the rising stars in the wrestling business today!

              ~ AMER-ICAN-DRRRREEEEAAMMMMMMMM ~

Dusty Rhodes: Hello everyone! Dusty Rhodes here, and I have some huge announcements, baby. Tonight you will be seeing some debut of people you might be familiar with, but for the most part you are seeing the unknown trying to become known quantities in the wrestling bizz. With NXT there comes some specific things that need to be known, and I get that, baby. I had a question earlier by someone in the back, "will there be championships in NXT?" Dusty Rhodes can say, YES! There will be championships in NXT, and no I did not mess up with adding the "s" to championships. There will be a world title, a secondary title, a tag title and a women's title! However, those will all come in due time, and will not debut until next year and possibly even going into 2013 and beyond. We have a plan set up here in NXT, baby, and we are not going to rush the next generation of superstars! With that, let's get some matches underway!

              Video Package
We get a video package about Seth Rollins. Seth is a unique styled wrestler with a great past behind him. Now he has found his way into the WWE, and he is going to make everyone...BLACKOUT!

              Singles Match
              Seth Rollins vs. Ryan Ziggler
Ryan Ziggler is the younger brother of Dolph Ziggler. Ryan tries to mount some early offense, but a nice counter by Rollins lead to God's Last Gift for a two count. Ziggler would hit some dropkicks and eventually go up top for a missile drop kick, which could be countered by Rollins with a super kick. Rollins would then connect with Blackout. 5:12
              Spoiler

              Video Package
We get another video package, this time it is for Bo Dallas. Bo Dallas is someone who loves to smile and have a good time, but he knows once he gets into that ring it is time to fight, and there is no more smiling.

              Singles Match
              Bo Dallas vs. Brad Maddox
Bo charges for Maddox and quickly dumps him to the outside with a gut-wrench plex. Bo would beat Maddox on the outside of the ring until throwing him back in. Dallas charges Maddox in the corner, but eats a boot! Maddox charges Dallas, but runs right into the Bo-Plex! 3:19
              Spoiler

              Video Package
We are the darkness of the night. We are the shadows you see following you. We are...The Ascension! Connor O'Brien...Kenneth Camerson...we feed on the weak, and seek out the strong!

              Tag Team Match
The Ascension vs. Tyler Breeze & Jason Jordan
Cameron starts the match by working over Jordan. Connor enters in and shows his big man abilities by throwing Jordan all over the ring. Kenneth and O'Brien share some tags and beat down on Jordan. Kenneth would throw Jordan over to Breeze, who tags in and tries to mount some offense, but this was a lure, and O'Brien is in the ring and The Ascension hit Fall of Man onto Breeze. 4:05
              Spoiler

              Backstage
Eden Stiles: Roman Reigns, how do you fe...

Roman Reigns: One second, Victoria, my phone is ringing. Hello? Yeah, man, what's up? *Roman looks at Eden, and says one second, this is my agent. I am not doing anything important, just some fan is trying to talk to me...

~ Roman walks off with Eden looking very confused.

              Singles Match
              Natalya vs. Paige
We get a known main roster talent in Natalya as she faces a fresh talent in Paige. Natalya works some heavy offense early and finishes Paige off with the Sharpshooter without Paige connecting with much of an offense. 2:58
              Spoiler

              Backstage
Dusty Rhodes: Now, everyone. I have a huge main event set up for you all, you see? I have obtained legit Smackdown star, Antonio Cesaro and he will be teaming up with legit Smackdown tag team, The Usos. They will be taking on three men who want to make a name for themselves! Derek Bateman, Johnny Curtis and Curtis Axel!

              Six-Man Tag Team Match
Antonio Cesaro & The Usos vs. Derek Bateman, Johnny Curtis & Curtis Axel
Bateman and Jimmy Uso begin the match. We see some nice holds from each other and Jimmy manages to get into his corner, Cesaro steals the tag from Jey! Cesaro comes into the ring and works over Bateman. Bateman manages to get away and goes for a leaping tag for Curtis Axel. Axel comes in and beats down Cesaro and knocks down The Usos. Cesaro manages to beat down Axel and tag in Jey Uso. Jey comes in and goes to work on Axel, but Curtis manages to hit a belly to belly suplex creating separation. Cesaro yet again steals the tag and comes in, but here comes Johnny Curtis! Curtis is going to town taking down Cesaro. Cesaro manages to break free and goes to tag Jey Uso, but the Usos drop from the ropes and leave Cesaro! This leaves Curtis to hit the Falcon Arrow to finish the match! 11:30

Thanks for the kind words, dude! Okay, I'm very excited you're doing this because I enjoy your stuff (glad to hear you aren't abandoning the 1995 universe!), but also for a very selfish reason. I have NXT in my universe as a farm system to all 3 companies, but I know next to nothing about almost everyone who came to WWE in 2004 or later, so I was just kind of going to wing it and come up with original stuff for anyone who got "called up" and graduated from my NXT.

I'm kind of hoping you'll give me a crash course into at least who the hell some of these people are! So I'm really interested to see what you do here and I hope you keep it going.

P.S. I'm glad you chose to drop UFC over any of these. These are just far more fun and creative, IMO than anything you can do with UFC (Full disclosure: not a big UFC fan, so take my opinion for what it's worth)

You have been doing great work!

As for this, well 2004-2010 you're kinda screwed still, lol.

As for 2011-2020 you'll be covered! Like I do in every episode there will be highlight superstars for quite sometime. Then in matches and interviews/promos I'll try to capture their likeliness as best as I do!

But either way this is interesting. Going back in time with these characters and gimmicks. Talk about an upset in the main event of the early show, even back then. I think titles should come in sooner, but not World Titles. If this really is going to be the original NXT I feel it should remain developmental for many years and then maybe they become World once they become big but that shouldn't be for at least 5 years.

I don't mind sharing my idea. Just won't disclose what kind of titles until I unveil them.

The original NXT brought in the NXT Title about 2 months in I want to say?

The NXT Title is probably 2013 at earliest. (Mind you we are in December 2011).

I expect a singles title, tag titles and the women's titles within the first 6-12 months.

Then the world title anywhere from 1-2 years down the line.

Any promotion needs a major title, but they don't need it to be a rush to declare who that champion will be.

I have a pretty big plot point coming in episode two tomorrow that'll discuss the NXT Championship and a certain tidbit about wins and losses mattering in Bard's NXT.

Nice show. The main event is an upset for sure, idk how I feel about the NXTers winning clean off the bat like that. Also somewhat hypocritically, Natalya squashing Paige leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm biased though because I find Natalya to be somewhat crap as a performer (ik she's a solid wrestler).

Either way it just depends where you go with it from here, and I have faith in Bard. He must be getting hired by all these combat sport companies in different universes for a reason.

Usos bailing on Cesaro made it more "realistic" I thought. Needed NXT to have a big one on their debut! Plus Cesaro and the Usos aren't exactly established yet, lol. Remember 2011.

This is Paige's debut and Natalya has been around. Makes sense for now, wait for more!

I'll admit I skimmed that main event. That makes sense. I also assumed face painted super babyface Uso's so I didn't expect that. Mentally I was imagining like 2013-2014 for this since I didn't follow NXT this early. 2011 NXT, got it.
