    WCW Universe (WWE 2K19)

I'm going to be starting a WWE2k19 Universe Mode with a roster made up of WCW wrestlers. There will be three shows which are Monday Nitro, Thunder on Thursday and wrapping up with Saturday Night.

I will have 6 belts that the talent will be vying for and the champions for each title will be drawn at random by me. The titles will be the World Heavyweight title, the WCW Women's title, the Television title, the Cruiserweight title, the Hardcore title and of course the Tag Team titles.

I will post the rosters in the next couple of days but I do know that all wrestlers will be eligible to participate on each of the three shows. I, the booker, will obviously decide who will be on the show but we won't have a split roster.

I'm not too familiar with Universe Mode as this is my first time playing a wrestling game since 2003ish so it will be a learning experience. I hope my write-up will keep you interested and we can relive the WCW days which is in my opinion the best days of wrestling.

I grew up watching wrestling with my grandpa on Sunday mornings. We would record it because we were usually at the race track on a Saturday night. But when I watch the old shows on WWE Network it takes me back to being a little 5 year old kid in the living room at grandma's house diving off the couch onto my grandpa or pillows while she cooked breakfast. I would give anything to go back for just one more Sunday morning at grandma's. Enough strolling down memory lane...let's get to this Universe playthrough.

I just have a few more roster things to fix with ratings and then I will be set to start reporting. I'm going out of town Monday-Thursday of next week so look for this to start getting updated next weekend. I could possibly have rosters out by Sunday night before I get ready to leave.

The thing with my football and wrestling games my kids use the gaming systems too so I have to get on there when it's free. My racing write-up I can play that game anytime I want on my office computer. They go back to school soon so I should be able to put more time into the wrestling and football write-ups then.

As the show kicked off in Pontiac, MI the crowd was still at full throat after the pyrotechnics show when the music of Ric Flair filled the arena. To a chorus of boos, The Nature Boy made his way to the ring with Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit, Steve McMichael, Woman, Miss Elizabeth and Debra. The Four Horsemen looked all business as Flair addressed the crowd.

Flair showed off his WCW World Heavyweight Title belt as he explained to the crowd that he was "The Man" and in order for anyone in the locker room to be the man they would have to beat him. He also put the NWO and Dungeon of Doom on notice that their was only one true faction in the WCW and that was, is and always will be The Four Horsemen! WOOOOOOOOOO! The Horsemen left the ring on that note and the show was ready to officially begin.

MATCH 1: Glacier was able to make fairly easy work of Alex Wright. The only offense Wright was able to produce was on the outside but upon returning to the ring Glacier took back control. Glacier ended the match with a Cryonic kick and the pinfall.

MATCH 2: WCW Tag-team Champions Harlem Heat faced off against The Steiners in a non-title match. The Steiners controlled the match early on but Stevie Ray was able to get a tag to Booker T who took control of the match. Harlem Heat took the win by pinfall.

MATCH 3: Kevin Sullivan was able to control the match early on and really was handling Double-A throughout the match. He looked to have the match wrapped up with a Devil Stomp. However, when he went for the pin Woman distracted the ref allowing Anderson to stay alive. The Enforcer was able to seize control and eventually hit Sullivan with a DDT and take the 1-2-3 victory.

MATCH 4: This match again pitted a member of The Four Horsemen against a member of The Dungeon Of Doom with Ric Flair taking on The Giant. In this non-title match Ric Flair made easy work of the big man and slapped a figure-4 on him to take the submission victory without really breaking a sweat.

After Flair/Anderson and the ladies left the ring Chris Jericho's music hit and he made his way to the ring with a microphone. The crowd booed as he patted his WCW TV Title and said he was the best wrestler in the WCW and nobody could beat him. He issued an open challenge which was accepted by the man of 1000 holds Dean Malenko.

MATCH 5: Chris Jericho bit off a little more than he could chew with this one as Dean Malenko used a series of submission maneuvers to upset the TV Champion in a non-tital bout. Dean grabbed a microphone but didn't say anything and just laid the mic at Jericho's feet and exited the ring.

MATCH 6: In the Main Event of the evening Goldberg made his way to the ring to face Hollywood Hogan of the NWO with The Outsiders and Eric Bischoff at ringside. While the three outside would prove distracting to Goldberg, Hogan completely controlled the match from bell to bell and hit a huge leg drop and then pinned Goldberg to win the match. The Outsiders would then do a number on Goldberg and leave him laying in the ring as they were pelted with debris from the crowd as Nitro went off the air.

The WCW made it's way to 'The Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim' for this episode of WCW Thunder. The fans were greeted by the whole NWO faction in the ring with Eric Bischoff holding a mircrophone. The crowd was a even mixture of boos and cheers as Bischoff started talking about the Four Horsemen.

Bischoff explained that it was cute that Ric Flair thought his Four Horsemen still ran things around here but it was clear who the top dogs in the company were and it was just a matter of time before they had the gold to match! Hollywood Hogan snatched the mic from Bischoff and fired up the rest of the NWO by explaining their faction was the new blood in the business and it was time to bury fossils like Flair and Anderson.

The NWO would leave the ring and make their way back up the ramp passing DDP who was on the way to the ring with Kimberly Page. DDP would look Hogan and the Outsiders up and down and then give them the Diamond hand gesture and yelled BANG! Hogan and crew chuckled and continued backstage.

                          MATCH 1:
In an opening women's match that was non-title Kimberly Page was severely outmatched by Madusa on paper. Madusa held the experience advantage and was looking to make quick work of the Nitro Girl turned wrestler. Page would surprise everyone and make the match very interesting but in the end Madusa was too much as she hit a flying leg drop from the top rope and then got the pinfall.

MATCH 2: This match was a Hardcore match between Raven and La Parka. Raven controlled the early match but went to get a chair and La Parka was able to steal it from him and use it relentlessly. He was able to get the pinfall and played the steel chair like an electric guitar to the roar of the crowd.

MATCH 3: In another Hardcore Rules match The Nasty Boys and Public Enemy renewed their acquaintance with another weapon filled match. A baseball bat, ladder and chair each made an appearance in the match. Neither team really got the upper hand but The Nasty Boys were able to wear down Rocco Rock on the outside and isolate Johnny Grunge on the inside to get the win.

When the ring cleared the NWO music hit again and Eric Bischoff with microphone in hand and Buff Bagwell made their way to the ring. Bischoff bragged on the physical condition of Bagwell while he posed around the ring to the crowd. He was talking about the Horsemen when their music hit and Chris Benoit made his way to the ring and told Buff that his muscles were for show and nothing else and challenged him to a match.

                          MATCH 4:
Benoit came out strong with a round of knife edge chops on Bagwell in the corner. Bischoff would distract Benoit to allow Buff the opportunity to get in some offense. Benoit would counter though when Buff went high risk and missed. A display of suplexes would render Bagwell groggy and then Benoit would apply the Crippler Crossface and Bagwell would tap immediately. Benoit would hold up the Horsemen four fingered salute as he walked confidently back up the ramp.

MAIN EVENT: In this cruiserweight battle between Psychosis and Mysterio the action was high flying inside and outside the ring. Mysterio was able to hit the 619 but only got a 2 count to his dismay. Psychosis then mounted an aerial assualt with many top rope dives onto Mysterio. This was capped off with a Psycho Guillotine and then the 1-2-3 count.

We join you from sunny San Diego, CA for this weeks episode of Saturday Night here on TBS. We have a jam packed show slated for you tonight with cruiserweight, hardcore and tag-team action on tap. Our Main Event for the evening will be 'Macho Man' Randy Savage taking on Lord Steven Regal but first up on the program is the high-flying cruiserweights with Billy Kidman set to do battle with Juventud Guerrera. Let's get to the ring!

                            MATCH 1:
Billy Kidman contolled the match from bell to bell pretty much and hit his Shooting Star Press to take the win in the opening bout of the evening.

Kidman would grab a microphone and ask if this was it for competition in the Cruiserweight division. He would be met with a chorus of boos from the crowd as he made his way back up the ramp shaking his head.

MATCH 2: The next match would pit One Man Gang in a table match with Saturn. One man gang took control early on but Saturn was able to roll off the table at the last second as One Man Gang went crashing through it for Saturn to steal the victory.

One Man Gang was not happy and went after Saturn post match. This prompted the rest of Raven's flock to make their way to the ring and run One Man Gang back up the the ramp. The rest of the Dungeon of Doom came out to join him and a stare down ensued. Kevin Sullivan broke the silence and challenged Raven's flock to a match on Monday Nitro which Raven quickly accepted.

MATCH 3: This tag-team match was dominated by The Road Warriors as they used a chair slid in the ring by Regal to bust Earl Robert Eaton wide open. They would maintain control throughout the match and hit the Doomsday Device to seal the deal and let their presence be known in the tag-team division.

MAIN EVENT: Steven Regal was quickly back out in the ring to take on 'Macho Man' Randy Savage. Even with the distraction of Eric Bischoff at ringside Regal's technical moves proved to be too much as he was able to make Savage tap out to the Regal Stretch.
