    Time for slider explanations?

Alright so we're on a new generation of consoles. Does anyone else think it's time for us to have an explanation of these sliders? For example, what's the difference between having the Hustle slider at 50, and having it at 100? Or even what's the difference between 50 and 51? What happens to a player's Hustle rating when these sliders are changed? Does halving it at 55 mean that the player's rating is 55% better? I never fully understood the concept of of having the sliders from 0 to 100.

    Anyone care to explain?

Didn’t eccentric meat have a thread explaining some of this stuff?

It would save us a TON of time and effort if 2K came out and detailed what every slider affects, how, and with in-game examples. Maybe one day, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Hey do you know if the shot defense slider explanations still apply? I've read a few posts saying that they were reversed, in the past.

Yea, if you go to the 1st post in that thread you can essentially read it as if I wrote it today about next gen 2K21. Everything still applies exactly the same way. USER sliders affect how tough the defense is against the USER, CPU sliders affect how tough the defense is against the CPU. So they're "reversed" in that you'd expect the USER defense strength sliders to affect the USER's defense, but it affects the CPU's defense instead. And same goes the other way for the CPU.

I also posted a minor update to the Speed/Accel/Movement thread so that everything would be accurate there as well.

Strength sliders at 0 resulted in players only attempting layups at the rim.

That slider controls the resistance to contact & will/desire to drive through contact. 0 = low resistance, high will to drive. 100 = high resistance, low will to drive.

The layups that result are a side effect, not what the slider controls. There are other contact driven animation sequences impacted by Strength as well.

There’s subtlety to most of the sliders in this game that I doubt many people inside of 2K’s dev team even understand.
