maybe you are wearing a 'special' outfit it looks like, I changed my character in her apartment just by clicking inventory it would swap, but I believe you would have to 'take off' the special as it might block say a top from being equipped.

The game def requires some youtube searches as there is no hand-holding in some aspects while others it is very deep like brain dances.

I've decided I like shotguns in this game. I'm like hobo with a shotgun (only hot) lol... nades are great too.

I also couldn't disagree more with the poster mentioning GTA and open world. This game is better compared to oblivion/skyrim/Mass Effect - not only that but I feel like stuff is popping off everywhere so there is randomness that is great. I've passed 3 official crime scenes that are taped off, a suicide investigation (where the body fell a few meters away from me) a guy helping his girlfriend puke, random gun fights and hostage situations... not only that but there are far more INTERIORS than a game like GTA IV&V where you're a massive city and it's all just solid blocks. Here at least there are vast bars/strip clubs, as well as areas with elevators, you've got small shops and eateries, then small districts filled with stuff like a real market/shopping/eating area.

It may not be as detailed or nuanced as GTA but CP is a deep RPG so it's not really the best comparison. In terms of atmosphere I haven't played watch dogs, but to me this game with all the advertising and style it's as good as it gets.

I'm playing on 'quality' btw on xsx - only way to go for now, I'm very curious as to what the next gen patches will bring, but because of the dev's apology I feel like now we'll be waiting until after FEB since they are trying to appease last gen.

Small aside - In today's culture we are constantly ripping people who apologize and do it with much more venom than if they had not done so at all. It's like opening an invitation for people to berate you even harder because you've admitted you've done something wrong - I'm not loving that about our society right now.

When it comes to npc AI even skyrim is ahead of this game.. gta and rdr2 is miles ahead.

Games pretty good on a high end PC. Haven't crashed and it looks phenomenal. Driving for now just seems like a chore though, but doing missions has been good. Looking forward to side questing and really finding my play style with Chrome and Hacking.

            Re: Cyberpunk 2077

So just to clarify because I know some people won't be bothered by some of these things.

Yes, I'm pretty disappointed in Cyberpunk, but it's not a bad game.

It's just not the game I had hoped for, and even among its peers it doesn't do a lot of little details that could have separated it from, or at least put it on part with it's competition. And the reason that I used GTA as a comparison, because everything about the game from the mechanics to the way the map functions feels like it came out of GTA, Saints Row, or other games in that category....and also because it simply doesn't hold a candle to the truly free and immersive*worlds of Skyrim, Outerworlds, Etc...Games that I wish Cyberpunk was comparable to in scope.

For better or worse though, this game fits into the mold of GTA (which if we're being honest was never a truly immersive game in the first place), and the problem there is that even in that genre it doesn't fit the open world part as well as a game whose original release was on the Xbox 360.

That isn't to say that Cyberpunk doesn't do anything really well in the open world market. The diversity of environments is a big plus. It's much better to be able to go inside buildings than just to have a bunch of city blocks. I also appreciate the crime scenes that randomly pop up with police taking pictures, but that's about all it does to give the semblance of a real world (speaking of police, where are they outside of those scripted instances? I never just see them driving around town). To reiterate, GTA is not the gold standard of open world games, but some people have put together some pretty good comparison videos to illustrate how far behind Cyberpunk is even compared to that game. A few examples would be:*

1.) Cyberpunk - Stand in the street. A car will either run you over or just stop and wait forever for you to move...GTA - They will run you over or stop, but if they stop then they will eventually make another action like drive around your or just run you over.*

2.) Cyberpunk - Any aggressive action like punching a civilian or aiming your gun at someone will result in that NPC cowering or running away. In GTA they will flee, cower, or fight back. Sometimes even a separate passing NPC will take an action against you if they see you doing something they don't like.

3.) Cyberpunk - if you do something to get the police interested in you, they literally teleport on top of your position. GTA...you can see police cars coming from afar to get you.

4.) You're completely unable to change your appearance after the initial character customization in Cyberpunk, which is particularly odd given the setting.

            And so on.

              Re: Cyberpunk 2077

I had no expectations going in, perhaps they were even relatively low. I'm enjoying it, but knowing how much time was put into it the lack of 'simple' things in a city environment like driving AI and some basic routines for peds (as seen in some of the GTA comparison videos) are disappointing. That being said, I was so impressed initially with the game that I pulled the trigger on a chair (attached) and will continue to tinker with it. I won't be getting a refund, even if I opted to take a break for a bit for some patches. I have bad gaming ADD, so it's already gotten above average amount of play from me for a new game.

On the topic of refunds, man Sony sure is taking one on the chin for this one, declining to issue them and telling people 'patches are coming next year'.

This game has "check it out a year from now and it will be awesome" written all over it. Much like No Man's Sky (even though they are different genre's.

I actually think lack fo third person really hurts this game, especially with such attention to character creation and the such.

Maybe by the time the next gen upgrade or DLC drops they will have come back around to the idea of it being playable in 3rd person and give us the option. I get their reasoning behind it but to put so much attention on character creation seems a wasted opportunity only being playable in 1st person.

For those that are currently playing do you all think the game would be affected negatively by having a 3rd person perspective.

Cover based mechanics seems like it would have worked much better in 3rd. That said I am still super early so will hold on judgment till I start really getting in to combat.

Witcher 3 is an epic game.

Early this year, I went to the "hold off on the purchase to see the reviews" model. CP2077 looks like I made the right call. Probably we'll be a great game in a few months with a bunch of patches like others have said.

I have now reached the end of the main story. And well, it's definitely not a Witcher. I'm really disappointed by the story. The end came as a total surprise. There are still side missions open on very difficult, so I do not understand why they let the main story end now. Very weak for an RPG somehow

The only thing I've ever successfully had them refund is Battlefield V and I wanted to exchange for the Deluxe Edition so they offered me my money in a credit. Otherwise they wouldn't even refund that.

I think the very least they could do to make themselves look better is offer a PSN store credit to people. This would ensure the money still gets spent in house. I know the game having problems isn't their fault, but they could use it to their advantage.

It's just my .02 cents, but if you're going to make a digital only edition console then you need better digital inclusive policies and just give people a store credit.

I've played the game more and I think on PS5 it's a good experience even if the resolution isn't up to par with what I think it should be. You just have to treat the game like you're writing an essay by saving early and often because an untimely crash will really kill the experience.
