    Madden 22 Gameplanning Question?

Hey guys, I'm a longtime franchise guy, in fact, I hate MUT, I'm old school..

Anyway, I'm incredibly happy about the new adjustment game planning options to pick a focus, and even make half time adjustments.

I've noticed lots of guys posting videos and showing it but they fail to explain how it's used during a game. From my understanding the only way the game plan takes effect is if when you're picking plays, you pick from the game planning tab. Is this correct? Can anyone elaborate?

I guess I'm just confused because it seems obvious to me that you need to pick from the game planning tab to get the plays you need to stop or attack tendencies correct? Some of the guys on youtube are setting their adjustments in the game planning section but NEVER picking from the game plan tab which would explain why they don't see it working.

    anyone have this figured out?

I assumed, and it felt this way playing, but picking the plays from a other tab still gets the bonuses.

For example, you choose the outside running gameplan. If you choose your plays from the formation tab and pick a stretch play you'll still get the bonuses.

From my understanding the gameplan tab just gives you a place to find all of the boosted plays more easily.

Thanks for responding. If you do pick from the formation tab and pick a stretch play, do you still get bonuses if it wasn't highlighted in green or a gameplan play? I've used gameplan plays a bunch in madden 21 but I will admit to it being sometimes hard to find them. I guess I'm trying to figure out if your gameplan such as take away outside run factors in no matter what play you call? does your team still think about stopping the outside run even if you picked a pinch play?

My understanding, and only my own experience is:
Pre-game game plan gives the players the bonuses listed after training is completed. It does not affect specific plays.

Half time adjustments focuses on one element at the expense of another. I don't understand how the game factors it in to gameplay.
