    Speed Difference

Capela ran down Mike Conley. Anyone else seeing no gap between the slow and big players? Or slower rated players running faster then the faster rated players?

The AI gets a crazy speed boost on defense. Fast breaks are damn near impossible because of it.

Your player feels stuck in the mud while the AI is running at supersonic speed

Affects closeouts, ISO plays and PNR. I get they had to make defense tougher this year, but it’s very cheap in a lot of places on the court.

But I was the Hawks and the CPU was the Jazz. That is what caught me off guard. I wonder if they just made all defensive players faster regardless of rating. I didn’t expect Capela to run that man down like that.

It seems like the AI does get an artificial speed boost to help with any defensive instabilities in the main core of the game.

I’ve been running with the Hornets, and it’s hard to get a proper fast break with Melo (who is incredible in this game btw) because the AI sprints down the court faster than your entire team.

Look at the run animations, its pathetic, why do they all run so slow. Conley's 3/4 sprint is like 3.1-3.2 seconds. Takes him like 4 seconds to run half the court in this clip.

Yep one of the only sliders I’ve felt the need to tweak so far

I think that maybe just Conley. I honestly dont have that issue with Morant, Fox or Mitchell.

I mostly play with Jazz, Grizz or Kings.

Yea it’s bs but might be a badge issue now, not sure how I feel about it.

Defense has been nerfed big time in a ton of different areas. Especially on the PNR. I get why to hide some things but not sure it was the best way to fix it. The speed thing can be tweaked with sliders, hustle, etc. obviously online can’t do some of that. But the pnr coded as is and how defenders get through at super speeds (even without turbo) we have to deal with. Been toying with adding PNR brick wall badges to improve it offline. That’s a personal issue of mine though that others might not care about.

Yea the D is a little too tight but I’d rather have it like this than too easy like last year.

In General i feel like There always was too Big of a difference between guards and bigs. guys like myles Turner or maxi kleber (for example) are capable of running in transition and keep up with smaller players yet in 2k they always felt so slow. but they would just need higher speed/acceleration attributes. slower players still need to be slow.

Is this not just a byproduct of playing on HOF?

Not saying it should be the case but if it tries to increase the difficulty by reducing user speed and increasing CPU speed you'll see these issues.

Out of interest, have you tried editing speed sliders that hall of fame adjusts by default to put them the same as say All Star?

I know I read somewhere that either Pro or All star is where the game plays the most realistic. HOF you will see artificial boost to make the game competitive.
