I'm not even sure if there will be a 2k23 on PC, since I expect them to go 100% next-gen and wouldn't put it past them to not bother releasing it on PC. If there is a 2k23 on PC though, I probably won't get it if it's 'current-gen' (b/c what would be the difference, really, between that and modded 2k22?) or if there is a next-gen PC version, I'll wait till the spring or something once people have kinda figured out the modding situation and built up a good collection. I don't really wanna go back to vanilla.Comment

I hope it’s trash so I don’t. After 2K22 nightmare of having to constantly relearn the game and be unsure what the future holds, I don’t wanna do it again considering I put immense time into building custom rosters. 2K22 is pretty solid right now as long as they don’t screw with it further.Comment

Not even a question.
‘22 will likely go down as one of my favorite 2K’s
but the first response is correct

well one can only hope that 2k23 plays better than 2k21 or 2k22, which in my opinion are the worst 2ks I ever played. I played every 2k since NBA 2k9. so if 2k23 actually has better gameplay meaning its not green or miss with nonexisting AI defense and working defensive settings, than its instantly 100 % better than 2k21 and 2k22.Comment

I think next gen must be a lot different
(I think I seen you are old gen) if u say 22 is the worst you’ve ever played because that’s just not the case for me at all

Fact is that 2K is not *a* game; it's a whole spectrum of potential games, based on what modes you play, what rosters you use, what your preferences are re: sliders, camera angle, playcalling, timing vs. aiming vs. RP%, etc. etc. etc.
For the way I play, old-gen 2K22 is great. I don't have the issues jk31 is having (except for the broken defensive settings, but the AI defense works well for me so I don't mind everything being on auto). I will say (jk31) that 2K23 will almost certainly not play any better than this one. There was so much fanfare about more attention to the AI and set plays (for good reason IMO) that I don't think that will be perceived as an issue that even needs fixing (beyond outright broken stuff / glitches / settings that are pure placebo).Comment

100% buying. I have good sliders that make this game great. I can imagine that they’re looking into Help Defense for 2K23.Comment

Re: after this 2k22, who's going to buy 2k23?
Why would they? Help defense was right at launch. They did away with/nerfed/altered it because “comp” arcade players demanded it for their unrealistic arcade style modes. Only way help defense becomes a mainstay is if they finally either separate AI for modes or allow us options to run different AI modes.Comment
