Also worth noting is that 2K put out their official list moments ago and there are a few typo errors on it

      - Isaiah Stewart is a 77 OVR but on the list says he only increased +1 to 78 Overall

      - Alperen Sengun is a 76 OVR in the roster but on the list says he only increased +2 to 78 Overall

      - Jalen Green decreased to 76 OVR but there's no mention of it in the roster notes

      - Ben McLemore is a 75 OVR in the roster but on the list says he only increased +2 to 73 Overall

I think they hate Brandon Ingram and Cade Cunningham or just those 2 teams. The Pistons are basically unplayable. But for some reason OKC is a pretty good team.

        The tiers are very confusing.

And since when did we start dropping injuried players. That's not right in my opinion.

Thank God they changed the height. I was kind of tired of seeing the post about it [emoji23]

I mean, pistons at 4-23 being nearly unplayable makes sense. Cade had so much hype and his initial rating prob reflected that and then now comes back down to earth with not playing so hot.

Ahhhh I'd agree with but that funk stopped a while back. He's averaging like 20, 5, 4 in the last 7 games.

But how is OKC rated so highly then. Look at their Shot IQ. How is that possible?

puh, I checked the detailed ratings of both Desmond Bane and Franz Wagner....Seems its only the shooting + intangibles that gives them these high OVR. they are (slightly) above average shooters from everywhere and their intangibles are high. thats it. speed 64 (wagner) and 66 (bane) is a joke for wing players. thats slower than some centers. speed with ball 60?! perimeter defense of 69 and 66?

I am sorry, but I remember the time where 80 OVR meant this player is very good in the game. The detailed attributes of Wagner and Bane look more like fringe rotation/benchwarmers than very good players.

Exactly what my complaining is about. These bad teams aren't getting the respect I think they deserve.

According to the boxscore in the NBA app, Franz Wagner started at PG yesterday vs. the Nets.

Yet in the starting 5 consisting of him, Mychal Mulder, Gary Harris, Chuma Okeke and Robin Lopez, he is only the 3rd best suited for this position (according to the 2k ratings in the playmaking category). Both Harris and Mulder have better ballhandling and passing skills than him, and chuma okeke is only slightly worse.

As someone who watched Nets v Magic in it's entirety I don't remember Franz running the point for them with any consistency. They had the G League kid Garritty (sp?) running the offense. He didn't guard the point on defense either, so eh...

Also there is no world where Franz Wagner is better than Patty Mills by 3 overall points. When he did try to take up the ball he was getting stripped in the back court by David Duke Jr. He looks awkward dribbling the ball and is woefully slow out there.

I personally don't think he should be more than a 77. He was out there with all G-league players, Robin Lopez, Patty, and Blake Griffin. Wagner did not look better than any of those guys.

Still, his individual attributes look like a <75 rated player, not a rotation player. He can do nothing at all in 2k besides shooting a little bit. I would take a 74 rated Trevor Ariza over a 80 rated Franz Wagner. Playmaking is equal, shooting is slightly lower, but Ariza at least has defense and athleticism (in the game).

                        edit: here is the proof:

Gary Payton II is 72 ovr and I would say that Payton just by his ratings is the much more useful player than Franz Wagner. Superior defense, athleticism, playmaking and slightly worse shooting. Payton II even got more attribute points allocated than Franz Wagner. Yet Payton II is a 72 OVR, Wagner is an 80. That does not make any sense at all.

2kratings.com is not an official 2k website and has many errors.
According to the official 2k website https://nba.2k.com/ratings: Gary Payton II: 77 OVR (+5) (NBA 2K22 UPDATED PLAYER RATINGS 12.16)
