Orioles Finalize Opening Day Roster
BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Orioles and GM Glenn Gibson and manager Brandon Hyde have made the decision on the 28 players heading north out of spring training for opening day against the Tampa Bay Rays.
CATCHERS
13 Jacob Nottingham
23 Robinson Chirinos
Chirinos, a 9 year MLB veteran, will serve as the teams primary catcher. He played his 2021 season with the Chicago Cubs. Nottingham, 27, has played nearly 2 years in the bigs with the Brewers and Mariners. He can hit for power, but is a fairly poor defender and strikes out a lot.
INFIELDERS

The club will primarily start the IF with Mountcastle-Odor-Urias-Gutierrez, with Mateo and Owings rotating in at all 4 positions, and against left handers. Trey Mancini will serve as Baltimore's primary DH.
