NBA 2K23 MyNBA Trade Discussion Thread

    Hey gus!

Feels good to be back. Last years game wasn't really for me, so I took a big break from it and the forum here too. But since this year the major focus for 2k seems to be the offline modes and with all the new things with the eras I guess this is a good time to make a comeback.

Since we're talking offline modes: One of my favorite threads every year is the trade discussion thread. Especially this year with the old eras it would be even more interesting to get some cool ideas from guys who lived it and can give a more detailed impression if a trade would make sense or not.

For me I still wait for a good roster for 2002 to make another run with the best team of that time. Yes, you guessed it: The Sacramento Kings.

To kill time I started a save in the modern times, also with the Kings. Played 15 games now, standing at 7-8 and really happy with things are going. Already made a move to increase my shooting and send Holmes to the Heat for Duncan Robinson and a 2nd round pick. This guy kills it for me, while the Heat got rid of his contract and gained a defensive option as a backup center.

Now I still need to find a deal for Harrison Barnes, but I will take my time with that. If I am contending for a playoff spot I can aim a little more ambitious with that, then what I would do now.

What are your moves? Looking for help to get Ewings Knicks over the hump? Or trying to get the most out of Jack Sikmas Sonics 1983?

I'm thinking of starting a modern era Pelicans franchise. I love that young core of Zion, Ingram and Herb. Also a big CJ fan mostly because of his media appearances. Trying to decide on a bench scorer to go after or if I should use all those picks to get another star.

Using the current 2023 Mocks, does San Antonio do this deal:

      Keldon Johnson
      2023 1st round (10th overall)

      for

      2023 1st round (1st overall)

Realistically, I don't see a world where SAS doesn't do that, but I wanted input.

I am sure that the Spurs would do that. But the other team? We are talking Wembanyama here, right?

I am not his biggest believer, but the general opinion is that we have a generational talent there. Those picks usually will never get dealed.

I agree, really situational decision. Who is the other team? I don't see anyone dealing away a generational talent. If you want to rationalize the decision (wrong timeline, poor fit, talent doesn't want to play in small market), I would add more picks (at least another future first).

SA would do that, but I doubt the other team would accept Johnson and 10 for 1, barring some crazy year like 2013 where there is nobody viewed as top tier. Even then, that doesn't sound likely.

I'm controlling the other team. That was SA's offer for the pick. I'm not big on using Wembanyama, so I was considering it.

So, after 20 games the Hornets are 7th with the eyes still on HCA.

Would they trade for Harrison Barnes at this point? Thinking about swapping him for Oubre.

Can't believe this thread got buried like this for 2K23! Usually a pretty active one.

I'm running a dynasty as the Pacers (if you follow look away :wink and am looking to get involved as a cap-space sponge in a KD trade. It's looking like it'll be either the Suns, Grizzlies, or Pels with the best packages.

My question is this: to the Nets, how far apart in value are Mikal Bridges and Myles Turner? Turner seems like the perfect center to pair with Ben Simmons, who they're holding onto. If the Suns are the team, they'd likely move Bridges, contracts, and a boatload of picks for KD.

Could I pry Bridges from the Nets in exchange for Turner + cap relief + other valuable assets? Duarte and/or a top-10-protected future pick? Thanks all.

Is there one for 2K24? I can't seem to find it

                      without a 2k24 thread, I'll ask here -

What do you guys think is a fair price to get Malcolm Brogdon from the Blazers?
