'14 Revamp Roll Call

Curious to see how many OSers that are playing Revamped and which system.

I finally got around to playing this year on the PS3. The graphics aren't as good as what you see gamers streaming online that are on the computer, but man does it play a great game still.

I’ve been playing Revamped on PS3 since January and I haven’t looked back. I can say that whatever was done with the AI playcall tendencies, the game plays more difficult with the right sliders. With original ‘14, I could never get enough difficulty.

I do like the idea of the newly added plays, but a lot of them are a bit too clunky to add to my strategy. Still, it’s a very noteworthy upgrade.

We’ll see how the new game plays, but I’m not ruling out sticking with Revamped permanently.

I still play it every now and then. It's a great mod and they've all done an excellent job on it. They have a team currently working on an FCS Mod as well.

I'm playing on the PS3 and have been for over a year. They have some nice enhancements. One of the enhancements is that both teams can play with their color jersey, which you have to be careful with because I had a Louisville (red) vs Miami (orange) game and both had white helmets and pants, so it was very difficult to distinguish the teams during game play.



The current (v19) version replaces FIU with James Madison, so it marks the first time the team replaced a team in a conference.


Interestingly, the roster (from this site) does (did?) not have a roof on Allegiant Stadium so last night it was raining in my 2nd Las Vegas Bowl of the Dynasty. You may need to edit the stadium (I will need to examine the file to know what field and value to set).

I've got Revamped on 360 and love it! The updated jerseys and playbooks along with the under-the-hood improvements to the AI has breathed all new life into this game for me.

Quick question for those who have it, how is Dynasty handled? Is it just the vanilla dynasty starting in 2013?

It's amazing what the team has done with Revamped and I still fire it up to play a game here or there, and I really want to like it enough to get another Dynasty rolling, but I honestly can't find sliders that are challenging enough and I haven't kept up with the changes enough to know if they were ever able to do any work to get fatigue, auto subs, and/or the CPU 2nd half woes fixed at all.

Is there a complete list of gameplay and CPU changes that have been made anywhere?

It’s still the same dynasty, and it still shows the same years starting in 2013. But the some of the headlines are changed and then you’ve got the playoff tool. I never got hung up on the years because any updated roster never coincided with its proper year anyway.

I know what you’re saying about difficulty; it was why I left ‘14 for older games. But I can say that with how I’ve got the game playing now, there was stuff I could run in generic ‘14 with ease that I can’t do anymore. I use JKits penalty settings, made his base slider set a lot harder, and don’t use Off/Def Coordinator Tree attributes. Combined with the new CPU AI tendencies, it really has made it a more fun challenge. It’s not perfect, but I finally got it to where I need a 90s rated team to contend for the Natty.

I was pretty sure the Revamped website had an entire list of what changes were made in each of the updates.

You can actually make 2022 your starting year. On the Revamped discord server you can download all the files necessary including all stats until the 2021 season.
