Our 32-man league with a waitlist of 10 deep died this cycle after running since Madden 17. Thanks EA very cool

My two cents is that EA Sports will NEVER fix Franchise Mode because it doesn't make them any money. This is why they continue to focus on MUT. I would not be shocked if EA Sports drastically curtails Franchise Mode if not eliminate it altogether in the near future.

MUT has been a dumpster fire this year too. EA just isn't trying at all.

You are 100% right, but personally there is 0% chance I am buying another Madden unless they cop to these issues and meaningfully fix them. I play franchise only on Madden and if I cannot trust the mode to simply work there's no reason for me to buy it. So they will at least lose my money because of it.

Our only hope is someone with a better vision coming along and offering the NFL more money.

I'd like to believe the NFL itself would see how a game can help their brand in the short and long term. But there are too many Mike Browns and Dean Spanos' along for the ride.

It was botched last year, too.

At this point, I'd be surprised if EA didn't secure the threepeat this cycle.

If thats what it took to make the mode great again, FINE! Do it!!

Otherwise, I agree. Take franchise out behind the barn...

That's how ea Is. Only interested in ultimate mode. Fifa, Madden and NHL all the same. I don't get that people still getting these games on launch day.

For me biggest Disappointing is that there isn't Football Manager 23 on PlayStation. No info since 2 month what's going on.

This is the year that's killed my NFL gaming passion. I've been on the ride along with EA every year since Madden '92 on the Genesis. After 30+ years and seeing it deteriorate into the garbage it is today beginning on the Xbox 360/PS3, my passion level for the franchise is as empty as EA's. They clearly don't care anymore and I can't force any additional care from myself.

It really sucks and feels like a part of myself is being lost because Madden has been the prominent game in my life. If I get in the mood for NFL gaming moving forward, I'll just stick to retro gaming and not care about the rosters. Until EA makes major improvements to the game, I'm done with Madden. Unfortunately, I doubt major improvements will happen at this point. There's no reason left for Franchise mode players like me to keep buying this broken mess that's arcade and tries to pass itself off as a sim. The quality across the board is so low every year, it feels like a series on perpetual life support. They should be incredibly embarrassed of themselves, but won't care, which is the worst part and most obvious sign that it's time for me to leave them behind.

Franchise Mode is the only thing I play in Sports games.
Madden not caring has made me pass on getting the game the last 2 years.
Maybe it doesn't make them money, but it costs them some money, in people like me that end up not buying the game at all because of the weak effort for Franchise Mode.

As a purely offline only Franchise mode player, I think it's pretty good. Definitely some improvements over last year with the tag system, generational players, scouting QoL updates and trading QoL updates like getting offers. Its not perfect but since MUT will always get more time and resources, I think it's a pretty solid improvement over M22.

I've come to bat for EA plenty in the recent years. I liked the changes they made when we got to the current gen consoles, and I've always said the attacks towards the programmers were unnecessary as it seemed EA had more of a leadership issue over anything else.

At this point, I think the whole company is just rotten. They don't really put anything out, sports or not, that screams quality. There's nothing to defend at this point. I'm sure they have some talented folks working there, but at this point it just seems like from the decision makers down to the grunts, there's zero passion and it shows in the quality, or lack of, in everything they touch. They don't even do the bare minimum to make money as we saw with this year's Madden and the most recent release of Battlefield among other projects.

As someone who still really enjoys Madden and will buy it next year despite the big time screwup this year, (yes, yes I know I'm part of the problem and am a -one of several pejorative names that people here like to use) the 50% off of the purchase price will be nice, although I would imagine that folks here probably feel that it should be 100% off.
