Tired of the 4 week injuries
What injury slider are you guys using where you don’t see multiple torn labrum injuries? I like seeing injuries happen but every game I lose a player, usually a good starter on my team to a torn labrum or some 4 week injury and it’s annoying.

Re: Tired of the 4 week injuries
This is EXACTLY why I play injuries off in every sports game. I have never, not once, in 25 years seen a game that can reproduce realistic injuries in terms of their duration or severity. -
Re: Tired of the 4 week injuries
I don’t mind seeing injuries but I never see like hamstring or just injuries that may just last a week. I only see 4 week injuries, mostly all the time and it’s multiple times.Comment

Re: Tired of the 4 week injuries
You put up with the game wrongly and randomly getting guys injured or you turn them off. I turn them off, other people leave them on. I dont have the time or interest in seeing a guy who never gets injured in real life having a 4 week injury.Comment

51. I get a decent mix. And the torn labrum ranges from 4-9 weeks.Comment

Re: Tired of the 4 week injuries
Yeah... these torn labrums and bruised sternums are definitely annoying. And it's the OL who get 90% of the injuries.
But my biggest issue with injuries is the fact that QBs are invincible. But I worry EA sees that then next year, QBs get injured every gameComment

Re: Tired of the 4 week injuries
Injuries is something that needs a significant overall.
I"m ok with the higher injury rate related to contact and collisions, and it's impact on the OL and DL.
There needs to be more variety of type and length. The dice roll for type seems stuck on torn labrum.
The changes need to be:
Injury rating being more meaningful to differentiate between the never injured, and the rarely healthy. For older players especially, the injury likelyhood should be the fall off in those later years, rather then the skill drop off.
More depth to longer term but minor injuries that can hinder a player but still play through. Right now, that's too extreme. The rare cases it comes up it's too extreme.Comment

Re: Tired of the 4 week injuries
I use 26 for my injury slider with Fatigue at 55. Not really sure if Fatigue and Injury work together or not.
I see a couple injuries in each game but alot of times players are out for 1 quarter or a few plays, so that seems pretty realistic to me. I also seem a mix of injuries on CPU teams ranging from 1 week all the way up to 27 weeks and on IR.Comment

As a franchise player exclusively, I'd love to see more depth and realism with injuries, but I very much doubt it will be something that is addressed.Injuries is something that needs a significant overall.

We all know that MUT is far more popular than franchise, and I would imagine that even a large number of franchise players simply want their best players to be on the field. People want to play with their stars, and having them severely impacted by injury, whilst realistic, would not be the experience that most people are looking to have unfortunately.
In an ideal world, they'd make it deeper anyway since injuries can simply be turned off if people don't want to deal with them, but I don't think they will.Comment

Re: Tired of the 4 week injuries
I would not mind seeing some players getting banged up for a quarter or even just the game, it’s just annoying at least for me when I get multiple injuries a game and it’s mostly my o lineman, with torn labrum’s.I use 26 for my injury slider with Fatigue at 55. Not really sure if Fatigue and Injury work together or not.

suffered 2 labrum injuries on my defense last night, 4 weeks each."Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."Comment

Re: Tired of the 4 week injuries
That's because EA didn't scale tackle injuries up vs impact block injuries and there are multiple blocks on a play but usually only one tackle. QBs can get injured albeit rarely as a passer, but more likely if designated a runner.Comment

Re: Tired of the 4 week injuries
In game, fatigue and injury slider work together. Out of game neither work (like for CPU teams during sim).I use 26 for my injury slider with Fatigue at 55. Not really sure if Fatigue and Injury work together or not.

Think more positively, an injury is the chance for a franchise defining breakout story for the backup! What injury slider are you guys using where you don’t see multiple torn labrum injuries? Injuries are also a good way to vary the dynamic dev development system as less players will make their 12 game minimum if injured a couple of times.
You need to scale the injury slider in game with the quarter length. We used injury slider 50 with 10min Qs and 16sec runoff (typically 60snaps per starter) and that was still 20-30% under the NFL average for injuries/rate. OL will suffer more injuries and WR/TE will get injured more on run plays rather than tackles just because how the game is coded.
If you have more injuries it's also a great time to increase the XP sliders a little so you get players to peak faster but might not be available to play, so depth matters (next man up).Comment
