    Pin Difficulty Sliders Explained

I went through a lot of testing to understand the word salad that is the descriptions of each slider, but it has been figured out.

First Count Lock: You can't start mashing the button until the referee is ready to give the count. If you do it before, you will be locked out from escaping the pin.

    All sliders work like this:

The lower the slider: the easier
The higher the slider: the harder

Additional Finisher Pin: This is how easy/difficult escaping a pin is after a first finisher has been performed

Finisher History Pin: This is how easy/difficult escaping a pin is after the second Finisher has been performed

3+ Finisher History Pin: This is how easy/difficult escaping a pin is after you've been hit by 3 or more finishers

Post Kickout Damage Recovery: This is how much easier/difficult it becomes to escape a pin after previous pins. Basically, if you escape a pin, and an opponent pins you again within little time, that pin becomes easier to escape.

Is everyone using the one where you hit the button or the sliding one? I like the button one as its easier I remember in one of the games like 8 years ago it was way to complicated for me. I think this system works great.

For right now, I am using the timing pin.

It is harder than in years past and the button pin always feels too definitive for me, while the timing pin gives you suprise kickouts every so often.

Hyperballer's sliders from WWE 2K22 seems to be giving me great results so far in WWE 2K23. Having fantastic matches with them, though I play on Legend difficulty.

I tried the new timing for a bit but hated it. To be fair I’m terrible with the sticks. So I’m glad they left the old rapid one in. I’m great at that.

You can still use the button on timing.

The secret is, if the green bar is small and it is moving fast, if you stop it before, mash A to try and stop it again as fast as you can.

Isn't the real secret to adjust the settings to increase the bar size and slow it down?

I haven't done it yet so I don't know how much adjustment you can really make, but there are options there for it, so who knows?
