Feel the exact same way as you.

Each year follows the same pattern. Early on, the game plays as intended. Then, Park players start complaining about gameplay issues that are often related to low basketball IQ and cater to making the game easier for those players. 2K releases a patch to address these issues, and Park players are happy. However, the sim community is usually screwed for the rest of the game cycle because the gameplay tweaks for Park seem to be tied to the entire game.

The core issue is accommodating different basketball IQs. Anyone can play park pick-up games. But organized basketball with plays, coaching, and strategy requires more knowledge and ability.

When 2K patches for Park complaints, it caters to streetball at the expense of sim players. Separate tuning is essential.

Specifically, 2K should:

- Create distinct Park and sim gameplay tuners to balance separately.
- Let players select global Park or sim settings OR setting for EACH mode.
- Release regular patches addressing specific Park and sim issues.
- Communicate transparently about gameplay changes.

Park and sim basketball require different basketball IQ's. 2K has excelled at replicating the NBA. Now they need separate settings so patches for Park don't undermine the Sim community's enjoyment.

I hope they recognize this sooner than later. Splitting Park and Sim tuning would let both communities play the game how they want. It's the natural next step as the franchise grows.

The devs did say that shooting is more lenient(slightly early and slightly late shots can sometime go in as opposed to green only) in Play Now compared to the online modes so it seems like there's a system in place already to differentiate between the offline and online modes.
