Re: WWE 2K24 Covers, Release Date, Trailer, Features Revealed

I'll be honest after WWE 2k23 I said there was no way I was buying this game again but this 40 years of Wrestlemania looks really nice.

I though the best thing about 23 was the Cena Showcase. There are just so many fun things you can do in those matches and the way the storylines play out from the time is really cool.

The issue is that stuff doesn't carry over into Universe mode. I know that they say they've added new things to universe mode but some of it, like Money in The Bank Cash-in have been in for years. If they are using that as an example it seems like there probably won't be much new and that is the mode I am most likely to play. To be honest I am looking for a sandbox I can jump into and just play matches without having to set it up and to just see where the Universe goes and the way it is now you can't really do that. The new system gives away what the cut scenes will be and beyond that it felt like it wasn't that much different from 2k20 and just too repetitive.

So for me it's at best a wait and see and when the price drops it's a maybe. But I am interested in at least still following and seeing what is new and how the 4o years of Wrestlemania is and it's made me a possible reduced price buy instead of a no-buy.

Re: WWE 2K24 Covers, Release Date, Trailer, Features, Screenshots and More Revealed

I get why Dustin Rhodes isn't in the game, seeing as he is still under contract with AEW and appears to be happy with the workload he has there. The same can be said for the exclusions of Lee Johnson, MJF, Aaron Solow, Nick Comoroto, Billy Gunn, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn, all former members of the Nightmare Family stable also currently employed in AEW. That said, the Nightmare Family Pack DLC seems oddly incomplete, seeing there have been FIFTEEN members total over the years since its founding as a stable [in AEW] in September 2018 then was disbanded in May 2022, I believe. Of those members, only Cody Rhodes is currently employed by WWE. Arn Anderson is also a member of the WWE Hall of Fame and is no longer with AEW, so it would've been ideal to have Anderson included in the back. He was last in a WWE game in WWE 2K17, I believe.

So far, the Nightmare Family Pack DLC pack will include Dusty Rhodes, Superstar Billy Graham, Dashing Cody Rhodes and Stardust, a total of four wrestlers along with three MyFaction gold-tier cards which includes Dusty Rhodes, Mattel Cody Rhodes and Pharoah.

A small (But super useful) thing I saw on Twitter is they added manual saves. A feature that should be mandatory option In all games
Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

I had to pull back from my excitement on the overpriced Wrestlemania edition. It appears to be digital only, which I believe was the case with NBA 2K24's most expensive edition. That's a dealbreaker for me because I want a hard copy, especially with that cool cover. But where will that cover be visible? I got the Jordan edition of 2K23, and the on-screen application still displays Devin Booker.

Also the actual features from the Wrestlemania edition are the Wrestlemania 40 arena, which won't be available till summer, it says. Plus, everyone unlocked from the Wrestlemania mode. That's meh because I am looking forward to playing through that mode.

I sense the value falls off the cliff after the deluxe edition. Shame because that Wrestlemania edition would make for one awesome box. You'd think for $120 it would be!
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

Agreed on the hard copy. I prefer hard copies anyway, but bought Xbox Series X and went digital with everything, including purchasing WWE 2K23 digitally through the Microsoft store.

I had my Series X system, iPad, laptop and phone all stolen by my ex-wife and it took over a month for me to get back into my Xbox account. She did all this while we were still married, though, so it was perfectly legal even if it was morally wrong, and I was incapacitated medically (loooong story, involves a hammer, my head, a concrete floor and her coming off her meds days prior [without me knowing] against doctor's orders) so I had no idea any of this was going on until it was already done. I woke up to what could be considered modern day hell, technologically speaking. This was because all of my emails, two-step authentications, social media accounts, everything was connected through my phone and number that she had taken or to my iPad and laptop, which she had also taken. Then she turned off the number and removed me from the account. She still owned the number, so I couldn't just get a sim card with the number on it.

It took me close to two months of proving who I was in order to get back into all my accounts that she had done this to. It was very stressful. I replaced the Xbox Series X quickly but couldn't access any of my digital games because I couldn't log in. It was like starting over completely and Microsoft wasn't very helpful for the first month, at least. I've gotten everything back to normal now. Moral of the story, buy physical copies of games and avoid violently insane women.

You can always make your own cover sleeve fairly easily with Photoshop or similar programs, especially with how Adobe has evolved with graphical/tech advancements being made.

Or just tell me what you have in mind, and for what system, and I'll see what I can do.

Never much got into this series until 23, and man I must say these devs know how to craft a game with love no doubt. I’ll be picking this up day one. We need a boxing and MMA game crafted with this level of depth. Hope other dev teams are taking notes here.

Over 200 plus on the roster?

                              What did 2k23 have overall?
