If you would have told me to bet on the length of the blogs for dynasty and Card collecting modes when this game was announced. I would have lost a lot of $ that the dynasty one would be so much larger.

I wonder if the offense scheme "option" is what the official name for the flexbone style offense

UT isn't for me, and that's fine. I'll never complain about options for different gamers.

What interests me in skimming this article is whether or not the current NFL stars (or "retired legends of the past") could be used outside of UT. Now *that* would get me excited. Due to the scale of the rosters, I'm not expecting to ever see EA put classic teams in the game, but if they give us some of the stars of previous classic teams, coupled with Teambuilder and CAP, I'd love to be able to recreate those classic teams ourselves.

I'm kind of a hypocrite when it comes to UT.

I don't like it in Madden but I have enjoyed MLBTS and Diamond Dynasty.

There's going to be so much to explore and do that it may be a long time before I try it.

They're trying to reel me in with Ray Lewis in the blog. If he came in wearing his gigantic shoulder pads and the old school jersey materials with the mesh with giant holes and a jersey too short to tuck in, then that might do it.

I'll likely try the mode out and see how it is. Likely will do little H2H if I do any at all. I always loved the idea of playing with all the past legends. I just don't typically enjoy playing online vs other players or vs the CPU on default settings like the mode forces you to do.

One thing 2K does so well is they add the past players from MyNBA to the pool for Eras leagues.

Like others, legends are the eye catcher for me. Not the mode I will play unless they drop a Calvin Johnson legend. Then I will not be able to resist.

EA just keeps trolling me with this. I love "team up" modes in sports games. It's what I primarily play in 2K, but I also really enjoy those kinds of modes in FIFA and MLB The Show. It's fun to get together with friends and take on other people online. So I would love to play the "Squad Up" mode with a couple friends in Madden/CF25. But of course, where do they put these modes??? Inside of Ultimate Team which I absolutely loath.


It used to be its own part of Online H2H in Madden, but they couldn't possibly have a mode where they weren't squeezing every last dime out of the player, so it got moved to be part of MUT. Who wants to play with real teams and simulate some of the upcoming season's biggest games with their friends when they can spend hours/days of grinding through tedious challenges so they can get smoked by 50 by a squad who dropped $200 in card packs on their team?

I will definitely check this out, I enjoy the card collecting aspect a lot as it takes me back to when I was a youngin' and going to my local corner store to buy a pack of Topps cards in the hopes I would pull the ever elusive 1000 yard Franco Harris card...lol

I absolutely do NOT or will not play online, have zero interest in that aspect..I do enjoy doing the daily stuff as well as challenges and solo battles...I'm sure these modes will be in this game.

I do however want to say, while I have never nor will I ever invest real funds into these modes, I did buy the introductory stubs for MLB 24...I think it was only like a couple of bucks...

However with Teambuilder and Dynasty mode, not sure how much time I will invest in CUT, but definitely looking forward to trying it out.
