    Freak Prospects in CFB25?

Just curious if anyone has come across any freak/interesting prospects. Madden 24’s draft classes had a lot of these players, especially some notable oddities (400lb+ DT, 6’9 WR/TE, QBs with great TE traits, etc).

    What have you guys found?

My 1.5 star Maine Tech Whales haven’t been able to recruit any 4 or 5 star recruits yet, but I did find two 3 star gems and we currently are their top school!

      Last night I signed a 4 star ATH/QB with 100 speed.

I think I find more busts, then I do gems.

I was hoping recruiting would actually be a challange, but after the first season I already have a firm grasp on what to do. It's more clicking sure, but it's a easy gsme of chess. You don't get them all, but you get enough.

Found a 3 star Ath QB 96 Speed 96 throwing power 90 Short throw accuracy 85 mid 80 long

Did a dynasty with Colorado Sanders left since he was a senior and I got him starting as a true freshman

I found a very similar one that I recruited. 6’5, 4-star ATH QB. 97 speed, 96 throwing power, 87 long accuracy and green diamond development.

It was similar in older games. Going in to find a 90 speed ATH QB was easy.

In 25 I got on one late that was a 4* gem with 94 speed. Was going to change Texas to the wishbone offense with him. If you want to find them just put all your later season time into scouting ATHs.

I’m beginning to see that the ATH QBs are way overpowered. Even the 2-3 star ATHs, I’m seeing a lot of them with mid 90s THP, 80s accuracy, and 90s speed. It would be one thing if they were rare, but I’m seeing a large handful of them each class. Hopefully this can be toned down in future updates, kind of defeats the purpose of recruiting actual QBs, let alone guys that are 4 or 5 stars.

Found a 99 speed 4* gem WR that I’m doing everything I can to land.

Got an athlete who’s build type was physical for wide receiver and I had plenty of receivers so I changed his position to corner and he was a 71 overall and I redshirted him and the next season after the training stage I was sorting by ratings to see what I had on my roster and I had a redshirt freshmen corner who had 99 man coverage and 80 zone who was 6’4. He’s been an absolute stud for me

Man that's a steal right there! Good eye to switch him to CB.

The issue I'm having is there are no REAL FREAK measurables that I've seen thus far. WR height cap should not be 6'5 (unless I just havent seen anything otherwise).

Anyone had in luck finding the Cam Newton style big and athletic QB's with at least 80ish speed ? From what I'm seeing most of the scrambler QB's are smaller.

I’m frankly unconvinced this is something they’ve even coded into the game. 99% sure they settled on some very hard and fast physical thresholds for different archetypes. Scrambling QBs can’t be over 225, running backs of any kind (fullbacks too, for some reason) can’t be over 240, linemen can’t be over 340, tight ends can’t be over 265, etc etc etc

I find it very, very disappointing even though I think I may be the only person who actually cares about this **** lol. Made infinitely worse by the fact that they inexplicably decided to remove the feature where your players gain weight in the offseason. So now if I have a 160 pound receiver or 279 pound offensive tackle they’re just going to be stuck that way forever apparently

Once again, I don’t think this is a big deal to 99% of the player base but this is perhaps my biggest problem with the game lol. Completely needless and really took some intrigue out of recruiting for me

Since we can edit sizes of fictional recruits that may have to be the workaround. I don't want anything unrealistic, but would like at least 6'3 230ish pound dual threat guy occasionally
