Custom Conference / Realignment

Trying to revert back to a bit more balance and looking for some input to maintain the majority of rivalries, geographical sense, and competitiveness.

Any thoughts of who seems misplaced, what “big” rivalries might be negatively impacted, or other changes that I might be overlooking before running this?

You could swap Iowa State with Nebraska. Then you could have the Cy-Hawk (Iowa/Iowa State) and the Colorado/Nebraska rivals in the same conference.

what do you mean, custom conferences "don't work"? They better work. EA distinctly singled this out via their presentation.

Custom conferences work. PAC 12 is the one you need a work around to make it work.

I did this on NCAA 14. I'm always torn between tradition and geography. I like the old Big East, Big 8, etc. I also like putting all Texas teams in the same league (UTSA, Texas State with Texas A&M and Texas).

I created custom conference dynasty.

In week 1, I scheduled a non-conference game vs Illinois. After that week they were 1-1. How? Because Illinois decided to play 2 games on opening weekend apparently.

For the Big 10 I set it to 8 game conference schedule.. and some teams had 8 conference games, while others had 9.

For example, a team would finish 4-4 that year in conference, while another
went 5-4

Some teams scheduled 5 straight conference road games to start their season. Then ended with 4 straight home conference games.

Some teams would only schedule 11 games for some reason.

The logic is just completely a mess. Absolutely hideous.

If you do custom conferences, I'd recommend using the "schedule reset" button during the preseason when you set your schedule. I think that is why I haven't seen a lot of these issues.

I did this on NCAA 14. I'm always torn between tradition and geography. I like the old Big East, Big 8, etc. I also like putting all Texas teams in the same league (UTSA, Texas State with Texas A&M and Texas).

I agree I like doing the old conferences because when they were prevalent we really did not have the video game abilities like we have now. I am going to do a big east later as well. I also have an old ACC going right now as well playing as Maryland that saw a three battle between us, NC State and FSU. FSU beat us in the conference title game after we had beat them Tallahassee.

thank you. Essentially what does "schedule reset" do? Does this prevent one from customizing their Dynasty schedule (non conference games)?
