    No, only from your game.

Highlights from around the league come in the form of "game breaks" after a scoring play, and often involve the reporter talking over the entire kickoff.

?Ask me about the Xbox Ally handheld - I'm on the team that made it.

Highlights of other games were in the first football game I've ever played. I think it was Madden 93. For sure, that's not the most urgent issue, but come on. That game is over 30 years old.

to clarify, they don't actually show any highlights, it's just an update, correct?

Correct. Audio only, complemented by the bottom ticker showing that same game.

Madden 93 used plain 2D sprites to render players. Rendering different team uniforms or player skin tones were simply palette swaps. There was no attempt or ability in those games to render player likenesses, unique stadiums, mascots, dynamic crowds, dynamic lighting and shading, or basically any visual feature you can think of which we take for granted in modern sports video games.

The technology requirements to pull off mid-game out-of-town highlights in a modern AAA sports game are staggering. We are not going to see that feature return anytime soon because all the rendering budget a console's graphics card can possibly offer for today's games is spent drawing the game the user is currently and actually playing at the highest fidelity possible.

Well that sucks, I'm hoping then just for the updates from NCAA 14 where at least give us the screen display and stats of the other game.
