Should I wait for Title Update to start my dynasty?

Pretty straight forward. I haven’t started my long form dynasty yet. The last couple of weeks I have spent testing out Matt10’s slider set, setting up my digital dynasty tracker, creating my fictional team builder team (uniforms, stadium, field, roster edits), and even writing up backstories for specific players on the team.

I am at the point now where I can barely wait.

So do I hold off and begin with the big title update OR just start playing now and enjoy the patch when it comes out? My guess is I would be at mid-season or so by the time the update drops.

I'm waiting for the first major update/patch/whatever we're calling it before even purchasing the game because I have to see major improvements in key areas before buying everything in order to play offline Dynasty mode (the only thing I care about in this game).

The updates they've already put out have been known to delete people's files, etc. I'd hate to start a Dynasty and then have my file deleted, for the patch to not apply to the current Dynasty file (meaning you have to start over), etc., etc.

I'm patiently but eagerly awaiting the purchase of the game and a PS5 to play it, but again, I have to see what happens with that major patch to see if they've remedied Custom Conferences and Scheduling, Rankings, Broken Visits, Broken Recruiting, Broken Playoffs, Broken Upsets/Too Many Cinderellas, Broken Tackling and Angles, Sim Stats, and on and on.

I'm in the camp of "wait."

I hadn’t heard about people having to start their dynasties over. That would be a killer. Thank you for the response!

I’m 4 seasons deep into one and started another yesterday. If a patch comes out that doesn’t apply to existing dynasties I’ll just start a fresh one. It’s all valuable experience.

I am currently playing in year 2 of a North Texas dynasty. I am still playing the game, just not sure I want to start my long term dynasty.

It just depends. I don’t want to start my Rutgers dynasty over, but if they fix a lot of issues then there’s no choice if they don’t apply to existing dynasties.

I’m waiting for my committed dynasty. As someone else mentioned any title update patches won’t apply to existing dynasty’s.. for that reason it just isn’t worth it for me to begin with my preferred team.

This could be true, but we don’t know it’s definitely true.

It’s been that way in EA Sports games for quite some time so for me it won’t be worth it. The game is only a few weeks old anyway and the things that are reported to be patched are pretty important quality of life things imo.

But if people want to start, I don’t blame them one bit lol, I’m dying to begin!

over all the years playing ncaa and madden I can only think of a couple instances where EA asked us to restart our dynasty/cfm. most cases of a patch take affect inside of your save.

there have also been instances where a patch neeeded to have the season advance before kicking in, but either way, unless they specifically come out and say it, you can rest assured the patch will be applied.

I’m waiting for opening day roster update, then start my dynasty. I’m playing play now games just to get hang of it and trying a bunch of different teams.

I'm playing my "starting dynasty" from day 1. I figure I wanted to learn dynasty myself by playing it. I used this dynasty as a testing ground for recruiting, and finding my right sliders, understand the coach abilities fully.

Once the patch comes out I'll probably start my 1* rebuild dynasty or my main dynasty, but right now I'm still having fun and in season 9 of my starting dynasty.

Nothing has really been game breaking for me so far.

Few of the bugs (features) that I've found:
Scheduling visits grayed out (known)
Playoff poll logic, while media/coaches polls look solid though, so should be fixed
Undeserving Award Winners This is probably the biggest I've had so far that hurts my immersion is when a player who's a backup and only played either garbage time snaps and/or started short term while starter was hurt wins an award for best at their position.

Had my #2 center win best center even though he only played garbage time to my 95 OVR center who finished 3rd.
