Re: Madden 25 Review: Stalling in the Red Zone

Having half the qb's with over a 100 qb rating and 10-12 having 30 tds or more is maddening. Top wrs dont have nearly as many receptions as they should and this has always been the case. Top offensive team stats are often right around average or just slightly above real world NFL stats.

Deflections are low. Qb completion %'s are very high. Passing attempts are low (youll almost never see 600 attempts or over). The lack of attention to detail and carelessness to the simstats is absolutely amatuer. Trying to get immersed in a franchise is near impossible with this game. Heres to hoping modding is possible on PC at some point because simstats can be improved greatly. Ive had to do it every year prior.

Good write up. Really wish you guys would've addressed the low frequency of replays and stat overlays because they're severely limited at the moment. Frequency needs to be tuned for those to be shown waaaay more.

Just a heads up, I can’t even read long articles like this on my iPhone because the constant barrage of advertisements constantly crashes safari

I'm glad to see someone writing a review about how bad the defense is in this game, don't know why they felt the need to make excuses for EA on why it's so bad however.

BTW who is beta testing these games? Clearly no one with a defensive background.

We did. Lol. Well those of us with beta codes. It's my fault. I'm sorry.

Nice review, I'm just a little dissapointed that it came so late. Almost like you guys sat on this. If Madden was done right, you would put this out a week before that game launched. I really depend on this site to give me the insight on my sports games. TBH, the lack of being able to draft my players over from college really took away my interest in even buying this game. Sure, I can create my draft classes, but there is a missing piece of an organic feeling of loading it up like the games of old. I will see this game in a few months or a 50% sale at some point.

I don’t think the export draft class to Madden feature will ever be in a game again due to the agreement with college players. I think they only have their likeness for CFB, not for Madden. So this would recreate the licensing issues they had that inevitably forced them to shelf NCAA for a decade.

As for Madden, I’ve said it 100x, but at this point I’ll never buy this game until it’s on sale and already being modded by the talented guys who work on the PC version. It’s by far and away the best version of the game, and it’s due to guys who don’t even work at EA… which is rather telling to say the least.

Looks like it’s a Black Friday purchase for me (or possibly even later!)

I meant internal testing, if it's getting to the free beta testers in this shape it's way too late. You would think to make a football game you would need people working on it with football knowledge.

Re: Madden 25 Review: Stalling in the Red Zone

The most mind blowing thing in this review is the part about the defense being bad is intentional.

The thought never occured to me.

It's was pretty distressing to me to think it was incompetence by the devs but to think they actually do it on purpose to sort of trick people kinda disgusts me a little to be honest.

I thought the game loading into the screen that kinda tricks you into accidentally going into MUT was a little skeezy but being forced into playing an arcadey mess when this game is described as sim so it can attract casuals is tough to accept.

Is this a fact or an opinion? The reviewer sure states it like a fact. Why have a casual/sim/competitive setting in the game then? I dunno why this troubles me so much but it does. Lol

Re: Madden 25 Review: Stalling in the Red Zone

Rumblings on several reports online do indicate that the NFL is upset with EA and their opening numbers/reviews. Could be fake, who knows these days.

CFB is blowing Madden out of the water. I know CFB has already had 2 updates and Madden hasn’t even had a roster update yet… but hopefully Madden gets the same love as CFB when it comes to the updates. CFB is a good product with a good foundation.

With that being said i dont agree with most of the reviews that Madden is getting. This is the best version of Madden in several years. Allow them to at least release an update or 2 to address some of the concerns. I also feel nobody enjoys anything anymore and its just easier to complain these days.

Its a video game. Enjoy folks. My 2 cents. Im also a Raiders fan so what do i know lol
