I didnt dive in to much i just wanted to see if half time show was there since it wasn’t in quick play but from what i seen i cant wait to dive in. It seems the menus are easier to read the gm mode look like they put some time in it. -

I would wait for a patch to fix rotationsComment

Re: NBA 2K25 MyNBA/MyGM franchise discussion
Two questions...
1. For things like rotations, how "soon" are they early patches?
2. For someone who hasn't done Eras before, is there anything I should know about before I start? Like salary cap related settings etc?Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 MyNBA/MyGM franchise discussion
2. It's typically a good idea to drop Draft Class Quality slider as well as Progression. 2K seems to think every draft class is filled with day-1 starters and that everyone under 30 is guaranteed to progress to 82+ rated no matter what, which quickly breaks the trade and salary cap system as it's too easy to trade random nobodies for good players, and every free agent is 80+ rated and wants 20mil+ a year. So yea, drop Draft Class Quality to around 40-45, and Progression about the same.Comment

1. Since rotations were working last year, I assume there was some sort of mess up or oversight causing the issue this year. If so, it should be a quick fix that could come literally any time. If there's a deeper issue, then we might have to wait a bit (but I don't expect that to be the case).

I would wait for the roster creators to fill the rosters with the missing players, because there are some of them in every era.Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 MyNBA/MyGM franchise discussion
The individual Boom/bust percentage of a player factors in to this. I simmed 3 seasons just to see progression at default and Dariq Whitehead gained 0 overall after offseason 1 but jumped by 3 pts after offseason 2, which I suppose is his boom bust randomly rolling a boom.Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 MyNBA/MyGM franchise discussion
Remember in the first few NBA Live games placeholder players were used to represent those who weren’t included in the game. The placeholders had the same attributes as the actual players they replaced.
What's stopping 2k from filling out these rosters with generic players with attributes representing Barkley, Rasheed, reggie miller etc.."This game, and series, has nothing but contempt for you (now)"Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 MyNBA/MyGM franchise discussion
- Change contract sliders. Level curve lower, and raise max contract slider. Pretty aggressively imo. Otherwise 80 rated players will go unsigned eventually (even had a finals MVP rated 90 go unsigned the next season in testing today lol)
- Progression should be lowered a bit, to maybe like 40, and regression to something like 60
- Draft class quality dropped a bit, so you don't end up with super stars from every classComment

Years ago, O’Bannon saw a family member playing a college basketball video game and saw them using 1996 UCLA team whose star looked and played a lot like O’Bannon except he was called SF #31. O’Bannon felt that was clearly his likeness and filed suit.
That lawsuit appeared to put the fear of god into sports video games and led most to abandon any mode or project that was dependent on generic players having even the vaguest resemblance to a real life player from either a visual or skill-based viewpoint.Comment
