Happy to see you're still tending to these sliders a lot of others moved on to Madden and as a player who has zero interest in Madden this year it's greatly appreciated to keep NCAA playable through updates!

Re: Matt10's CFB 25 Sliders
=================================
9/28/2024 - Two changes for both User and CPU, and one change to overall in fatigue. The game has been playing pretty solid throughout, so there's not much change through the patch updates. We felt the coverage waas a bit too tight at times, which is why PCV was dropped to 55 from 60. The tackling was a bit too good as well on 52, so it's a slight drop to 50. After that, everything gets adjusted all at once with fatigue changed from 50 to 52. This brings just a bit more wear and tear early on, along with subs, but doesn't impact the actual gameplay where on the player starts jogging on higher values because they are gassed. Enjoy!
*edit: highlight for Pass Coverage and Tackling should be for CPU side as well in Heisman set, just clerical error*
All-American set: Same application from the Heisman set. This AA set is still in tip-top shape in my opinion and the addition of fatigue really compliments the wear and tear system. I think it smooths out the animations, especially on AA, a whole lot.

Re: Matt10's CFB 25 Sliders
How do you all (especially Matt) feel about using run / pass commit. Sometimes, I think run commit in particular is a bit too effective.
Also, what passing method are you all using?Last edited by superjames1992; 09-29-2024, 03:43 AM.Comment

Re: Matt10's CFB 25 Sliders
Played a game with these as Oregon against UCLA, and it was rough. For reference, I'd already been playing with fatigue (and injuries) at 52, so the only changes were dropping coverage and tackling.
UCLA had their starting QB hurt, so the 78 Ovr backup got the start against my 89 rated defense. In the first half, he had 351 yards and 5 TD. I did better in the second half, holding him to 148 yards, 0 TD, and an INT. But even in the 2nd half, that was largely because they only attempted 6 passes on their final 4 drives (going 4 for 6 for 44 yards), including 2 drives without a passing attempt.
Still somehow miraculously won despite being down 42-17 in the 4th Quarter. Scored 4 TDs in the last 7 minutes, including 1 as time expired (was out of timeouts and didn't even have time to spike the ball after I got tackled in bounds at the 7 with :08 left).
I'll probably give it another go, but I'm leaning towards bumping coverage back at least some.

Re: Matt10's CFB 25 Sliders
Played a second game (both with the Heisman set), and Michigan State's QB (81 Ovr) only had 206 yards passing. Problem is, that was on just 14 attempts.
Feels like the only way to stop the pass is to get a sack or hope the CPU stops trying to throw. I think for now I'm just going to go back to the previous set. Definitely felt better that the update for me. I don't want to see what Ohio State will do to me if UCLA and Michigan State are this dynamic.

Re: Matt10's CFB 25 Sliders
I'm currently testing the 52 fatigue of these sliders and an auto sub set. My rotations haven't been terrible thus far. I may also bump it up 70ish with the auto subs and see what that looks like. I only have a 2 game sample size as of right now.Comment

Re: Matt10's CFB 25 Sliders
I also am seeing lots of sacks for myself BUT I have also played against 2 bad teams, I may wait till I play against a better team and see how I do.Comment

Re: Matt10's CFB 25 Sliders
It's not just bad teams. I sacked Georgia and Miami in back to back games a combined 18 times. The pass blocking/QB logic is busted in its current stateComment

Re: Matt10's CFB 25 Sliders
Started a San Jose dynasty with Matt10's AA sliders. Working pretty good so far through first 2 games.
1st game I didn't get my running game going until the 2nd half, but that is what saved me to end up with the W!
2nd game against Air Force was all defense on both sides. We went into OT tied 7-7. I was on Offense first and ended up running in for a TD on 2nd play. The my defense held them on the 3 yard line for the 2nd W!
Both passing and rushing are working well with these sliders. Need to tweak penalties a bit, as all I see are holding calls, but not too many. About 4-5 per game. I had 1 Def PI called but nothing else as of yet.Comment

Re: Matt10's CFB 25 Sliders
Yes I have been seeing that, I don't see the qbs rolling out of the pocket (or if they do they don't sprint so my DE will still get to him), I don't see them throw the ball away often eitherComment

Re: Matt10's CFB 25 Sliders
So I made some changes and seen some improvement in the sacks. Here are the changes I made:
CPU pass block = 60
HUM pass coverage = 50
It's not been perfect but it's been a step in the right direction. Through 3 games, my sack leader on the team had 3.5 sacks.
I felt that the pass coverage as a whole got a tweak during the last patch, so I wanted to lower it to make sure not too many coverage sacks were happening. Couple that with a boosted pass blocking for the CPU and it's helped some. I'm going to tinker with it some more though.Comment
