What’s the longest FG you’ve seen or done?

Year 5 and LSU kicker just nailed a 65 yard fg against me. I don’t think I’ve even seen cpu attempt 60 before this.

I’ve made 47. It says my guys range is 51, but it barely got over the crossbar at 47. Plus my confidence plummets outside of 30 lol

CPU hit 57 against me. Over 45 yards, CPU misses a fair amount. I have the accuracy slider at 100 for my benefit

CPU kickers have insane power, and the power slider in dynasty only seems to hurt the user. I've seen CPU kickers with 86 power hit 61 yard field goals. I lowered the power slider thinking it would affect us both, and my 96 power kicker was topping out at about 53 yards. So yeah. They need to fix that. They miss close from the hashes, but they're pretty automatic otherwise.

I believe that was with KPW on 50. I’ve since turned it down to 40 fwiw.

52 is my flongest right now but I don't have a great kicker tho. Got a good one in my sights in recruiting at the moment. We'll see how that shakes out.

I have a kicker with 90 Power and I still can't make anything beyond 40 yards.

Just kicked a 55 yarder yesterday to win 19-17 with 7 seconds left in my Florida State dynasty against Boston College. Had to call a timeout to gather myself because that kick meter was moving!! The previous long was a 53 in the same game. I'm using Amor's Average Joe All American Sliders, FG power @ 50 and accuracy at 35

CPU has hit multiple 60-63 yard FG's against me since launch.

Had the AI kick a 59-yarder and a 61-yarder against me with KPW on 40. Does that slider work?

Is your FGA slider below 35? I’ve read that there’s a bug (at least I’d consider it a bug) where if you accuracy slider is below 35 then your kicker can’t kick long balls (35 or maybe 40+) because they’ll always end up short.

I don't know but appreciate the tip - I'll check. Everything is ending up short, so that would fit with what I'm seeing.

If it's lined up dead center with little to no wind, I can hit around a 55 yarder with a little luck on timing.

CPU, on the other hand, only time I see them miss is if it's a chip shot from the hash. Otherwise anything 30-70 yards is automatic.

I'm terrible at punting, too. My punts probably net about 20-30 yards. I hate how bad my special teams is because it encourages me to go for it on 4th way more than feels realistic. But it's hard to justify kicking a FG on 4th and short when I know I'm gonna miss, or punting past midfield when I'm barely gonna move the field position.

Someone else here had a problem with short punts and it was determined that his cause was that he used a kicker as a punter and if your kicker or punter is played out of position, it really neuters their ratings (on the field, not in the depth chart).

Has there been any documentation on the kick meter? Last night my 89 Kick Power, 74 Kick Accuracy place kicker hit and missed a 53-yard FG in the same game and direction. The one I hit would have been good from 60 yards or more. I stopped the horizontal meter perfectly in the middle of the solid green bar and the vertical meter was stopped at the bottom of the arrow (bottom lines on triangle on the top of the meter). I missed a 53-yarder when I stopped the horizontal meter in the greenish yellow to the left of the solid green bar and the vertical meter just under the max power line toward the top of the arrow. The kick hit off the left upright, just over the crossbar. Had the direction meter pointed more to the right, it probably would have snuck over for 3. But that still means more power (in the meter) resulted in less power on the kick.



The EA Tips and Tricks video narrated by Tall6Guy stated the horizontal meter affected accuracy and the vertical meter affected distance. But last night I learned stopping the horizontal meter perfectly in the solid green may give you more power than stopping the vertical meter perfectly by the top of the triangle / arrow in the second. Yes, I missed the second FG because I didn't stop the accuracy at the correct time, but it had less power than the previous one when I stopped the power meter a little too early.



My theory is the implementation is that the horizontal meter determines where the kicker strikes the ball. Indicator in the Green means he kicks the ball in the perfect spot and he misses that spot in the greenish yellow. The vertical meter determines the velocity / power the kicker kicked the ball, but the power still factors into how hard the ball is kicked. This would also explain why the Kick Accuracy slider being low will affect the distance of the kick because the slider value is applied to where the accuracy meter is stopped.

I’m curious if that’s only using the kicker as a punter and not the other way around.

My kicker was terrible so I subbed my punter as my place kicker and he’s been really good (aside from my own errors). He’s got better range and accuracy and the meter moves slower than it did for my actual kicker.
