Are custom schedules broken?
We are trying to set up user OOC games, but nothing we do works. Is this a bug or does anyone have any info or advice? We have 13 people over the P4 conferences.Tags: None -
Re: Are custom schedules broken?
It’s hit or miss. I had a setup that worked for several seasons after getting the schedule glitch in an Online Dynasty, but it has since reverted back to the glitched state. Not sure if the latest patch was the reason why, as I did not add or remove the number of teams in a conference since then.
Honestly, I’m a little pissed off we are 3 months into this game and are still dealing with this ****. Gameplay is great, the dynasty menus and features need a ton of polishing and recoding. -
Re: Are custom schedules broken?
Just from my own experience it seems custom schedules are bugged in online franchises. I have one online franchise I can't continue as I'm getting an error when trying to customise the schedule, which sucks and as far as I'm aware a new bug post latest patch. In my offline dynasty I can edit the schedule fine, but I guess this might just be a luck thing rather than a offline/online thing. Needs to be fixed ASAP.Comment

Re: Are custom schedules broken?
I'm in an offline Dynasty, playing as multiple teams. I've found that when I swap out an opponent on a given team's schedule, the team's I've swapped out was not given a new game, meaning they'll only have 11 games. The team I added did not have a game taken away, so they'll have 13 games. From then on I can't edit.
The solution is to "swap" games among user teams (especially if you're online), otherwise you'll need to add users to control the teams you're trying to add/remove from your schedule to make sure they have enough games. You can't edit too much or else the string of edits gets too long and you can't find you way out of it.
If I'm Texas and I play no one of note OOC, I'll try to edit that. Say I play Arkansas State in week 4. Since I'm already controlling multiple teams, I'll look across schedules to find another team playing in week 4. If Clemson has a game against like Wyoming, I'll back out without making any changes and add Wyoming as a user. I'll change Texas's week 4 opponent to Clemson and, without backing out, add Arkansas State as a week 4 opponent for Wyoming. Now all teams have 12 games.
It's not great how that was seemingly missed in the creation of this game given that it's worked on the PS2 in 2005.Comment

So even in an offline, this happens? Bc I was gonna do stuff where I create a character for teams to go in and watch or get highlights from.Comment

Re: Are custom schedules broken?
To me it only happens if you make changes. If I just let the schedules be, it's fine. Every team gets defaulted to 12 total games.Comment

Re: Are custom schedules broken?
Well I’d obv make changes like no FCS teams and add who we’d normally play or rivals or top matchups.Comment

Re: Are custom schedules broken?
It’s definitely a buzzkill and I’m hoping it’s patched. Last season was okay for me, I got central Michigan, Texas, Stanford, and Cincinnati. This season I got eastern Michigan, Stanford, liberty, some other low ranking teams and an FCS opponent. I was hopeful it would at least give me a top 25 teamComment

Most seasons are fine! It gets messy past the 4/5 year mark.Comment

Re: Are custom schedules broken?
This would seemingly be a simple fix if EA would just replace any game on a CPU team's schedule with an FCS team. Could just add in a dozen new FCS teams (or however many it would take) so you don't have the same FCS teams playing multiple games each week.Comment

Re: Are custom schedules broken?
The patch says it but idk since it will be a while before we get back to that point. If anyone else sees it if you don’t mind responding.

Re: Are custom schedules broken?
I have only ran into this issue when I move teams to a new conference or adjust conference rules. No idea if it's fixed yet or not because I'm afraid to test it again. The online dynasty I have now we have no issues with user games.Comment
