Since 1981 (start of my fandom), here are the preseason favourites who went on to win the World Series:

2024 Dodgers
2016 Cubs (!!)
2009 Yankees
2000 Yankees
1999 Yankees
1995 Braves
1986 Mets

(Before this, I think you had to go back to the 1978 Yankees.)
