Re: An Example of what current gen should do in game
It's another video of the Japanese baseball video game that just keeps coming up on this forum for some reason.
But I do really like the pre-game lineup thing. I don't really know what that has to do with current gen capabilities though.Last edited by jcar0725; 04-02-2025, 01:26 PM.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Re: An Example of what current gen should do in game
It’s how a line up is presented every game for those in attendance. This would actually be a nice feature to coincide with the in crowd camera that is sometimes used before a game in the show. It’s a nice feature that adds another layer of immersion.Comment

Yeah full motion music videos in game ? Scoreboards are much more dynamic in Pro Spirits and overall you can argue graphics but you cant argue stadiums are much more alive in Pro Spirits. Start with the actual pop of the mitt, the crowd etc Basically if you close your eyes and listen to a game of Pro Spirits its like listening to music through a high end stereo and the Show ? like listiening through PC speakers.Comment

Having both games…once you play PBS you have to lower your expectations to play MTS to enjoy it.Comment

If it was just that you wanted to play a baseball video game, this could easily be the case. But if you require MLB teams and players, you have to totally drop your standards and expectations completely to play Pro Spirits.T-BONE.

Pro Spirits does a lot of cool things, but once the ball is put in play it doesn’t come close to The Show. Very stiff looking gameplay. Just my opinion.Comment

Re: An Example of what current gen should do in game
What does this video even have to do with Pro Spirits?
It’s an MLB game and if they were to implement something like this for presentation, it should match an MLB stadium.Last edited by MiracleMet718; 04-02-2025, 10:46 PM.Comment

Re: An Example of what current gen should do in game
I’ve played both and outside of improved lighting and some slightly better graphics in the cut scenes, but I personally don’t see why people think PBS is better than The Show. They both offer their own pros and cons, but one isn’t drastically better than the other, just different.Comment

IDK for people that like to play Bacon's rosters part of the appeal is to create your own stories. Getting to learn a whole new league and its stars is kind of cool imo and if it means also i get to experience it in a true current gen game ? ill take it. Now after seeing Switch 2 my hope is we do finally see some at least a few significant upgrades if Switch was holding SDS back that isComment
