Greetings to the New Year of 2020 for NCAA 13 folks! NCAA 13 is now really on life support all these years, but keeps chugging along while NCAA 14 continues to survive!

-Hopefully all files work, but depth charts may need manual adjusting on some teams.

NCAA 14 has been expensive as of lately, so NCAA 13 might be the next best choice; And NCAA 13 may have also gone up in price due to the demand and rarity of the game as more years pass. But if you have a strong PC & graphics, recently RPCS3 - Emulation of PS3 has improved & provides another choice to playing NCAA football 14 & 13 for years to come, esp for those whose disc stopped working, or could never track down a good & affordable copy.

Problems encountered:

I tried addressing the Dynasty Freeze issues by using a TEAMS data file from a 2017-18 roster with only some of the data transferred from 2020. --If Some one can test Dynasty Mode, check to see if it's working better.
-Tex State and UMass have freeze issues on startup (using as home team or road team may counter this, but not sure) and UTSA is missing a lot of data.
-Komikozibob mentioned more problems in past rosters which are relevant here too.
eg.-UAB will have UNC Charlotte's players.
-All teams are not in their new conferences. There were dynasty Freezing & loading issues when these were changed. All teams are in their original NCAA 13 conferences.
-12-13 season schedule. **The new schedule does not work with the 2013 game and it would take hours to update manually.

PS3 users WWEDX2007 may no longer be making PS3 Depth Chart updates like years past. I only own Xbox360 & so cannot test the PS3 much. But will continue trying to make a file for PS3.
(most teams depth charts on xbox360 are ok, but may need more adjusting.).
-Depth charts will have to be adjusted with " auto adjust depth chart " and then do some positions manually in game on most teams. (Since Depth charts do not convert properly in conversions from the source file.)

Sourced from NCAA 14, All of the teams have been worked on from mostly vikesfan team in 2020-21 Season and missing teams from different sources: (But more updates may not occur until the Fall Season and if time allows me.)


-I Merged My Florida, and RyP Notredame, PSU with 90+ teams from Vikesfan updates, 1 team by FlightTeam Xbox360 roster, and all the remaining 25+ teams from Packers NCAA2021 teams (which was originally based on the previous Vikesfan Mod) . (There will always be some things missing: a few missing freshmen players on many random teams, wrong jersey #s, etc).
Not sure if the merged teams will be maintained moving forward, But I will try to maintain it in the Fall 2020 after more Vikesfan updates are finalized.

*Not sure why some people cannot get this to work. I provided both file types to try both known methods to file transfer. I think there are a lot of people that have this working.
It has been found that Modio 3 may require Save File to be named exactly the same as the 1.36mb Roster File Contents file.(if you use the method2).
Or it could be that some Flash Drives are not compatible-I use an older small 4gb flash drive from 2010, so maybe newer larger flash drives are the problem, so try using a small flash drive.

Making conversions had issues in 2019 with Dynasty Freezes but hopefully I've solved most of the issues now.

** I thought game play was easy compared to NCAA14, so Try adjusting Difficulty Level and Sliders to eg. Heisman mode. I tried some settings found on youtube to put in Heisman Mode and User Sliders to 65 & Computer Sliders to 35-& it seemed close to All American Difficulty on NCAA 14. Google search for Ncaa13 slider suggestions on YouTube.

I absolutely love this because I've always found 13 to be a far better game just on presentation alone. 14 feels clunky to me. Good but clunky. And I hated what EA was doing with the intro clips of an unplayed game before the match (sort of like NBA 2K14, last gen actually). 13 was among the best TV presentation offerings EA did in the 360/PS3 era.


So is this like with 14 where we can input the current schedule? Personally I don't really care seeing as how you can't really truly update the conferences anyway and plus, it's not like there's gonna be a 20-21 season anyway. But I was just curious.

I had dynasty freeze issues when I tried the 2019-2020 rosters and edited the conferences. Either the dynasty froze before it got started when it was creating conference schedules or it froze while advancing to week 2 while creating NCAA news stories.

I just downloaded 2020-2021 rosters, and I will try to start another dynasty when I get home from work this evening. Either way, I enjoy just having updated players and playing in play now. But hopefully I can get a dynasty to work with these.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get created teams onto NCAA 13 now? I don't know how everyone is able to update rosters each year to make them available to put on an Xbox with a USB, but couldn't this same method be used to make team builder files available online to put on USB and then onto an Xbox?

In order to get your own "created team" in a dynasty, you have to create a dynasty first, then use Modio, EA DB Builder, and Xan's Dynasty Config to edit over an existing team. You can change the team name and logo and edit the players and impact players this way. I took Idaho and gave them the FCS Southeast Cobras logo and named them "Coal City Copperheads." Gave the impact star to a HB, TE, and FS. Idaho has the lowest-rated team on these updated rosters (makes sense). Then I just went back into my dynasty, created a new user coach, and picked my team.

When trying to edit the teams before creating a dynasty, I ran into freeze issues. I used Xan's roster config to edit over teams on the general roster, but I had the same freeze issues as I had with the 2019-2020 rosters. I believe this is because I had switched some conferences around. The dynasty freezes when starting out at the point where it is making conference schedules. I think that if you edit the team in EA DB Builder without editing their conference, this problem might not happen. But my success in creating a team offline on NCAA 13 was in making the dynasty first with a team you plan to edit over, and then the changes will be waiting in dynasty when you load back in.

These latest rosters are working great so far. As long as I don't use the EA DB Builder to edit over some of the teams myself before creating a dynasty. If anyone is wanting to change teams around, create your dynasty first and then use Xan's Dynasty config on EA DB Builder to edit your teams.

Yes, taking these rosters and starting a dynasty has worked fine. I am currently in Week 4 of a dynasty with these rosters. I even edited over a couple of teams after the dynasty was already started and it has worked great.

I have been messing with EA DB Editor for a couple of days to try to figure out how to create my own team to have a dynasty with. Tons of others have done similar stuff and posted videos to YouTube and in forums. I did not have a TeamBuilder team already on my profile, so I cannot do exactly what I want on NCAA 13 like others are able to do on NCAA 14. Only TeamBuilder teams can have their uniforms edited on EA DB Editor. So when I edit over a team, the uniforms stay the same. So now I have a team called the Coal City Copperheads who wear Idaho's uniforms. But even after editing this team and picking my own impact players, I have so far played three games and the dynasty has had no issues.

I just wish that I could find a custom roster that had TeamBuilder teams already on it that one could edit over and be able to update uniforms too. But being able to play a dynasty with next season's rosters and even "create" my own team this way has been great. I am excited to play this dynasty for a while.

I do have a question about Utah, why is their team so stacked with high rated freshman?

Their starting redshirt freshman RB, Micah Bernard, is a 95 overall despite only being a 3 star recruit.

Their starting LE, freshman Xavier Carlton, is a 95 overall, which seems high for a 4 star recruit.

Freshman starting right end, Van Fillenger, is 87 overall.

Starting freshman DT, Keanu Tanuvasa, is a 91 overall.

Starting freshman MLB, Sione Fotu, is 91 overall.

Freshman Conerbacks Clark Phillips III, Kenzel Lawler, Caine Savage, and Nate Ritchie, are 94, 87, 87, and 79 overall, respectively.

Freshman strong stagers Kamo’i Latu is 85 overall.

All of these ratings seem way too high for freshman. These are all true freshman too with the exception of Micah Bernard.

Moreover, their starting QB, Senior Jake Bentley, is a 93 overall, which seems to high given his previous mediocre stats.

I agree the ratings are too high on many freshman players on teams not done by the Vikesfan team. I merged 5 different people's rosters so ratings will vary. This is a rough first version. I didn't realize Utah was so high. IMO, the highest a freshman should be is 87 or 88(but the majority of the 4star/5star players in Vikesfan's edits will usually only be around 79-84 overall; on FL I also rated the very best freshman as high as 86-88 - some might be too high just to have a more fun game; so lots of inconsistencies in ratings on many teams).
Vikesfan only did about 25 teams in this roster, while Packers (from xbox360 ncaa14) did Utah and around 75 teams, and Flightteam 12teams, so there may be a lot of odd over-rated players. eg. upperclassmen not rated high enough, while freshman are too high on some teams. Vikesfan group usually rates most players on their teams more fairly consistently. But we will have to wait another two months before most of their updates are complete. Currently the Vikesfan roster is incomplete with Xs so this merged roster is closer to having all named rosters complete right now in July. Vikesfan group updated 5 to 10 more teams but I've gotten busy again so may not have this updated again until a few weeks.

The only way is Offline file method using a USB flash drive, formatted to work with your console. On xbox360, modio or horizon is required and a Windows PC to run those programs to transfer roster files. PS3 may be easier to use the offline file using a USB flash drive with any pc.
(Online rostershare servers were shutdown 2+ years ago).
