The Michael Cole thing with the gong was the weirdest thing on WWE programming in awhile. It just randomly appeared, and then he goes off on how he's done.

Guess they had to figure out a way to get people to watch, but for Michael Cole, I don't think that will do it.

Just read a recap for NXT. Just want to say, I read this really fast and was trying to figure out when NXT moved to Showtime.

- Diva obstacle course, won by Kaitlyn.

- At ringside, Michael Cole goes nuts on the mic, and announces he is done with the show and walks away.

Cole has been awesome lately. First, the Miz stuff, and now this. His announcing still sucks, but man, there are certain times where I really miss that PBP/Color Face/Heel or Heel/Face connection and sometimes Cole brings it. Why doesn't WWE realize that both of your announcers can't be faces?

I agree. Pretty much any combination of McMahon or Monsoon with Heenan or Ventura used to always crack me up when I was a kid the way they'd go at it during a match. That and actual managers are 2 things I think need to be brought back to wrestling.

Yep. All those were awesome. I started re-watching 1997 the other day and the way Vince and King used to go at each other was hilarious Such a damn shame that King is now a face, he's awful now
