Tag Teams

Just wondering what are some of the tag teams and/or stables that you've created or that the universe has created for you? Maybe 2 rivals teamed up and became allies? A legend and an up an comer? 2 guys who are polar opposites....

My fav so far is my team called Blue Steel(yes a Zoolander reference). It's NXT up and comer Tyler Breeze and his mentor, "The Model" Rick Martel. They have had quite the lengthy and great feud with Ricky & Richie Steamboat.

What about everyone else?

Yeah, I recall Cena and Orton being thrown together in mine as well. Was it 12 maybe? I remember the movie 'Legendary' had just come out adn thats what I ended up calling them...also I think it was the year before, when Ziggler & Swagger were together, Cena turned heel in the first week and joined them....

I've put a few older teams and stables together in mine too...

I did B.O.D. and Rock N Sock...I split up Million $ Corp(kinda-I took out Bundy and Andre and put I.R.S. and Virgil-when hes available-in there and changed it to Money Inc.). I put Andre and Bundy with Henning, Studd and Rude(when hes available)and did The Heenen Family.

I reformed the Nation with Mark Henry as the leader and with David Otunga and The Prime Time Players...they've been trying to recruit Kofi and Big E.

And I'm working on a team with Ziggler and Sandow as well.

I put Carlito & Kofi together back in svr 09 as the Caribbean Konnection also a team has formed naturally from Sheamus & Antonio Cesaro in my universe just from common enemies I'm going to call them The International Superpowers.

I've had Justin Gabriel and Kane of all people form a tag team. Definitely has a Team Hell-No vibe to it. They've gone on a tear as a baby-face team, and are the #1 contenders for the World Tag Team Championships, held by Batista and Retro Brock Lesnar.

Needless to say, they're pretty big underdogs.

Nice...some interesting teams....just wondering, has the universe formed any tag teams for anyone? Seems like that aspect is lacking in this years game.

Ya know, oddly enough, every time I try and pair random superstars together in a rivalry it goes haywire...

for instance...if I were to have a rivalry with lets say Dolph Ziggler and The Miz against Kofi Kingston and Big E. Langston, the universe would put the first match as Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston against The Miz and Big E.....ok, no big deal, maybe something happens...but nothing does...next week, same thing...very very weird.

One cool thing that happened was that I had the Miz in a rivalry with John Morrison. After the rivalry ended Morrison began a rivalry with Barrett, and the Miz started helping Barrett attack Morrison. Universe then made them form a team. Not sure if it was a coincidence, based on rivals or what, but it was damn cool to see.

I also put Judas Mesias and some other guy in a rivalry with the tag champs in one of the minor league rosters, and the Universe made it a team. I think it had to so that the rivalry could be for the titles.

So when the computer forms a team will that appear in the "teams" section of the Universe Mode or do you have to create it to mirror what the computer has put together?

I had the Prime Time Players break up on RAW when Titus walked out on Darren Young, but they are still listed on the teams list in the Universe Menu. Do I need to just delete it as a team since they are now rivals of each other?

The way some things work this year is just odd. I had Justin Gabriel turn on Tyson Kidd, and the same thing happened. No team split, no rivalry in the rivalry manager. What I did get is a few cutscenes of Gabriel attacking Kidd, even without them as an actual rivalry. (I split up the team manually)

I think they might have made it this way for those situations where a team we don't want to break up does. It's possible that if you don't split the team up yourself they'll just go on as if the split never happened *cough* Miz & Kofi *cough*

Gotcha. I wasn't sure if you had to manually split teams or form them or if the game would just make teams appear on the teams page, but the fact that you could theoretically override it makes sense.

Is the games cut scene for a team having two guys shake hands after a match? I've had that happen between Brodus Clay and Rey Mysterio.

I believe thats the cutscene for when someone "embraces the fans" but it may be both. The only time the universe made it's own team and actually acknowledged it had done so was on one of the brands I simulate, so I don't know what the cutscene is.

One of the best aspects of this game is creating fictitious tag teams. I've created a few teams that have stuck with me through the past few releases of this game.

I don't follow the new wrestlers as much. I'm more of an 80s and 90s fan, so bear that in mind.

I had the same thing happen when Kaz pinned an original wrestler and then that original wrestler grabbed chairs and him and Daniels performed a conchairto on Kaz yet the original wrestler wasnt listed as an ally of Daniels and Daniels and Kaz were still allies and a team so I had to split then and force the other things to change.

Interesting teams but Funk and Jack arent even close to being fictitious.
