Axalta Coatings Systems will continue its longstanding partnership with Hendrick Motorsports, after agreeing to a contract extension that will expand its presence through 2018.
Beginning in 2016, Axalta will become a primary sponsor of the No. 88 Chevrolet SS team of driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. for 13 Sprint Cup Series races annually, an increase of three per season. Axalta will also be featured as a major associate sponsor during all non-primary events.

Taken from http://www.brainline.org/content/2011/07/lost-found-what-brain-injury-survivors-want-you-to-know.html

But it's what I live with everyday

I need a lot more rest than I used to. I’m not being lazy. I get physical fatigue as well as a “brain fatigue.” It is very difficult and tiring for my brain to think, process, and organize. Fatigue makes it even harder to think.

My stamina fluctuates, even though I may look good or “all better” on ... Read More

I have a TBI "Traumatic Brain Injury" This is what it's almost like to be me. The only problem there really are no words that can describe what kind of life I live.

For those who want or need to understand what it is like (sort of) to be blind or deaf, that is relatively easy to accomplish. Block those senses. It doesn’t give an appreciation for what it is like to live without sight or sound day in and day out, but you get an excellent taste.

Understanding what someone ... Read More

Logano's day ruined.
Despite being forced to roll out a backup car after a Friday practice crash, Joey Logano had a good day going at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Sunday.

The Team Penske driver was running a solid second behind teammate and eventual winner Brad Keselowski with just 88 laps remaining, before an on-track incident with the lapped car of 72-year old Morgan Shepherd ended his hopes for Victory Lane.

Shepherd was a whopping 16 laps down at ... Read More

The debate rages across NASCAR Nation; has Sprint Cup racing become stagnant, dull, even boring? With caution flags down by approximately 30% this season, some point to a dearth of what NASCAR Chairman Brian France once called, “Game Seven moments;” high-energy events that bring fans to their feet and provide ESPN’s SportsCenter with highlight-reel material for years to come.

Perhaps that’s true. ... Read More

George Edward Taylor was my uncle, my mom's brother. On Sunday he went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. This is the man that bought me my first fishing pole, taught me how to steer a boat and many other things. I loved this man like a dad and today we laid him to rest, this is a story my sister wrote that was used today. I would like to share it with everyone.

In March 2002, I was given a college assignment: to interview someone who has ... Read More

Kevin Harvick does not agree with Bruton Smith's recently announced decision to rework Bristol Motor Speedway, and apparently, he’s not alone.

One after another today, a series of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers told reporters they were not consulted about the change, and are against the idea. The most outspoken of the group was Kevin Harvick, who criticized Smith for soliciting the opinion of NASCAR Hall of Famer Darrell Waltrip, and not him.

Bristol Motor Speedway officials announced an official attendance of 102,000 fans for yesterday’s Food City 500; far below the track’s 158,000-seat capacity. Those numbers have triggered considerable debate about the current health of both the track and the sport, an examination of possible factors contributing to the downturn, and even Bristol’s worthiness to continue hosting two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events each season.

There are many factors that could help explain Bristol’s ... Read More

Kyle Petty is well-meaning, but wrong.

The SPEED TV analyst called out the National Stock Car Racing Commission in no uncertain terms Sunday, just two days before the board is set to rule on an appeal filed by Hendrick Motorsports on behalf of its No. 48 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team, crew chief Chad Knaus and car chief Ron Malek. Speaking on the network’s NASCAR RaceDay, the former Sprint Cup Series driver called the appeals process “a crapshoot.

The Ryan Newman Foundation is reaching out to animal lovers for help in getting much needed supplies to their four-legged friends in need. The devastating tornadoes that ripped through Indiana and Kentucky last week tore apart communities and left many animals displaced from their owners and in need of supplies and medical attention.
As a result, the Ryan Newman Foundation is taking donations to help those areas hit the hardest and working closely with area representatives of the Humane Society ... Read More

The Best Buy Ford driver fended off late-race advances from Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Greg Biffle and Denny Hamlin early Tuesday morning to claim his second career Daytona 500 championship. And when it was over, people were talking about everything but him.

Kenseth’s victory -- the kind of understated, workmanlike effort that has characterized his NASCAR career -- came in the aftermath of the most bizarre race in Daytona 500 history. When people look back on Speedweeks 2012, they’ll remember ... Read More

Rick Hendrick says five-time Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson and his team got a raw deal from NASCAR last week when the sanctioning body confiscated the C posts from Johnson’s Lowe’s Chevrolet. The Hendrick Motorsports owner told ESPN the parts in question were used in all four races at Daytona and Talladega last season, without ever being flagged by NASCAR.

"We've run it four times,'' claimed Hendrick. "It was built for this place and they never touched the roof. Our guys ... Read More

Eleven years ago last Saturday at Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR changed forever. On the final lap of the 2001 Daytona 500, Dale Earnhardt was hurled to his death in a crash that seemed incapable of destroying the front clip of his iconic, black Goodwrench Chevrolet, much less one of the greatest stars the sport has ever known.

Eleven years. It seems like only yesterday, and yet, so much has changed.

In the time since Earnhardt’s passing , head and neck restraints ... Read More

After last night’s wild and crazy Budweiser Shootout, NASCAR drivers are applauding the return of “pack racing” to NASCAR's Superspeedway's.

A long time critic of the two-car, draft at Daytona and Talladega in recent years, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., expressed happiness with the new NASCAR rule package that seems to have abolished two-by-two racing.

"I have more of my destiny in my hands in this type of racing,” said Earnhardt last night, despite being swept-up in a late ... Read More
