Starting Five

PG Will Walker, SR.
-Walker is the only senior on this squad, and is also the only true scorer. He's a double threat who can score from three or drive to the rim. If he gets hot, he can take over a game.

SG Joe Belcaster, FR
-Coach Turner hopes that playing next to Walker every night will be a worthwhile learning experience for Belcaster. Belcaster should prove to be a dangerous deep threat if teams focus too much on Walker.

SF Tony Freeland, FR
-Freeland is the other freshman in the Blue Demon's starting five. Freeland isn't a great shooter, but is very athletic and is good on the drive despite his lack of size.

PF Devin Hill, SO
-Hill may have a higher ceiling than anyone else on the roster. He's surprising quick for a big man, and has the potential to be a real threat down low and on the glass. The question is, will he reach that potential?

C Mac Koshwal, JR
-This big man can be a dominating force down low with his bruising style. It's tough to grab a rebound when he's on the court. Koshwal's main issue is staying out of foul trouble.

-----

The Rest

PG Jeremiah Kelly, SO
-DePaul hopes Kelly will provide a boost off the bench with his speed. He's not the best shooter, but can dish with the best.

C Kene Obi, SO
-The seven-footer has all the tools to be a dominant big man, he just needs to utilize it.

SF Mario Stula, JR
-Stula will see a mix of time at small and power forward this season. He's not great in any aspect of the game, but teams that overlook him may end up regretting it.

C Krys Faber, So
-The big man will likely be playing out of position as a power forward often this season. It's a move that may create mismatches for him on offense, but it's also a move the Demons may regret against more athletic power forwards.

PG Michael Bizoukas, SO
-Bizoukas is a talented player who may start for many mid-majors, but on this guard-laden team he'll likely have problems finding minutes.

SF Mike Stovall, JR
-Stovall isn't likely to see much playing time this season, but has the ability to be a threat offensively when on the court.

SF Eric Wallace, SO
-Wallace is stuck as the team's fourth string small forward, likely meaning little playing time.

Redshirts

SF Ryan Siggins, FR
-Siggins benefits greatly with the opportunity to sit this season out with all the depth at small forward for the Demons this season. Siggins brings the potential to be a decent shooter, but doesn't look to be much of a threat inside.

PG Nate Rogers, FR
Rogers is likely two years away from getting significant playing time, so he gets the liberty to sit out this season and learn from Walker. Rogers has the potential to be a great offensive player, but may end up getting moved to shooting guard before his collegiant career is finished.

The DePaul Blue Demons hope they have found the guy to right the ship.

On Monday, Depaul announced Timmy Turner as the team's new coach. Turnercomes with no head coaching experience, but their AD isn't worried.

"Timmy brings an enthusiam that we haven't seen here in years. Many may laugh at his lack of experience, but no one can doubt his will to win."

While critics have been harsh on this hiring, most will agree that Turner can't bring the program down much farther following the team posting an 0-18 record in conference play last year.

Turner will spend the coming months preparing his team for the 2009-10 season. DePaul opens the season hosting Columbia.
