Need help throwing Hook + Hitch routes

Anyone have success with throwing these routes? I am having problems with them on any play. One of the plays is Shotgun -> Hooks

If you throw it early (before he stops and comes back), the WR turns it into a vertical go route. If you throw it late (after he stops and starts to come back) and it's man to man coverage it's going to get picked off because the DB is going to have plenty of time to recover due to to total amount of time to execute the throwing animation + travel time for the ball.

Anyone figured this out? Any videos walking you through this?

Lead the received back to you, meaning after you throw, pull the right stick down.

Throw to the outside shoulder.

After you hike the ball and the reciever goes out.

Well i think thats something ur gonna have to figure out on ur own cuz it depends on the length of the route.

the pull the ball/right stick info helped a lot for me so thanks for that.

I will have to try pulling the right stick down. I had some luck starting the throwing motion as soon as he stops. But this was on easy mode, on hard mode this seems to get picked off..
