Let me first start with the fact that I'm sure I'm in the minority when it comes to this, but the lack of a referees is killing me. It seems the team at Madden is the only sports gaming company that can't or won't do it. The show has them, 2K has them, FIFA has them, even UFC has them albeit the fight is coming from the refs POV. This should be the last time I write about the XFL allowing 2k to make a game. The XFL has taken a huge blow. There are three reasons for this. It doesn't make me happy to write this; however, there is sliver of hope. But it's just that a sliver.

It's been 6 and 3 quarters of XFL to this point and I can't sit on these points any longer. I think I want another option for a football game more than others. The games so far has been good but if I see ACC or PAC12 quality football. That's not a talent related comment.

The NFL season has come and gone. In the past that meant we had to get our football fix via Madden, highlights, or some other football outlet. This year things may be better with the start of the XFL season this weekend. I have my fingers crossed in hopes that we get a better product than that rushed AAF. A few weeks ago I posted a piece that focused on some of the things Madden 20 was missing. It is a few minutes after the end of the Super Bowl. Kansas City won 20-31. As I watched the game i had a thought about Madden. That thought prompted me to write another piece.
