Blue Jays and Angels Swap Outfielders
By Tim Dierkes [May 18, 2013 at 10:35am ET]

The Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Angels have announced that they have reached a deal that would see the two teams swapping outfielders. The deal comes after a 2-1 walkoff win for the Blue Jays against their division foes, the New York Yankees. The deal sees 23-year old outfield prospect Moises Sierra headed to the Angels in exchange for 25-year old outfielder J.B. Shuck. Sierra hit .289 with 21 RBIs as well as three homers for Triple-A Buffalo this season. Schuck, who has spent time with both the big league team as well as Triple-A Salt Lake, hit .360 with 21 RBIs most recently in his stint with the Triple-A team. Schuck is known mostly for his speed and outfield ability, whereas Moises Sierra is mostly known for his high potential bat.
