Ranking the Best Bullpens Heading Into 2016

Posted 01-09-2016 at 08:27 PM by CameRoN0407
Over the past few years, the importance of a quality bullpen has grown, and grown noticeably. late inning relief played a big part in Kansas City's World Series run in 2014, and World Series win in 2015. Even the 2014 Giants had a helpful hand from their bullpen, which included contributions from Jean Machi, Jeremy Affeldt, Yusmeiro Petit, and the "uber-closer" Madison Bumgarner. 2016 looks to be no different, as teams have used the copy-cat strategy in attempt to build the next potent...

Well for the second straight year the Chicago Cubs trade a star pitcher, and get back a great return. However, this return looks a lot better. Let's take a look at the overview of the deal before I go in depth.

Oakland Athletics get: Jeff Samardzija, Jason Hammel

Chicago Cubs get: Addison Russell, Billy McKinney, Dan Straily, PTBNL or cash

So obviously Chicago made this move because they are well out of contention, and need to build on to their already...

Posted 03-25-2014 at 07:41 PM by CameRoN0407
I see alot of Mock Drafts out there, most of which I don't entirely agree with. So I decided to share my opinion, and here it is! Just a fast one, so no explaination. But will get a better one out before the draft.

1. Houston Texans: Blake Bortles, QB, UCF
2. St. Louis Rams (Fr. Redskins): Jadeveon Clowney, DE, USC
3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
4. Cleveland Browns: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
5. Oakland Raiders: Johnny Manziel,...

Why Xander Bogaerts Could be the Next Face of the MLB

Posted 02-20-2014 at 02:56 PM by CameRoN0407
Xander Bogaerts, known by many because of his heroics in the 2013 MLB Postseason. But before that, Xander was known by prospect gurus, such as me, as the kid with the big bright future. Xander has been the Red Sox' top prospect for 3 years now, and this year, his stock couldn't be better. He is a consensus Top 10 prospect, going to #2 in all of baseball on many lists. Xander has become a staple of the Sox' farm system, and is widely said to be a perennial All-Star.

Now to the...

Reactions to the Peavy Trade

Posted 08-01-2013 at 08:37 AM by CameRoN0407
I thought this would need it's own blog post. The Red Sox Acquired Jake Peavy In a Three Team Trade. Involved in that trade was the Tigers, White Sox, and of course, the Red Sox. I will go thru each team, with my reaction to each team's acquisitions.

Boston Red Sox: The Red Sox got the top pitcher on the thin market. Jake Peavy, 32, was acquired from the ChiSox along with struggling reliever Bryan Villareal. Peavy is 8-4, with a 4.28 ERA with 76 Ks. Mediocre stats for the former Cy...
