Hello guys, like many of you I was super pumped for the release of Backbreaker last year. When I finally got my hands on a copy I played it religiously. Even though over time I found out and experienced the many flaws in the game, one thing that was always consistent for me was it's fun factor.

Well the good news came and the patch was released. I thought this would put the game above and beyond my highest expectations. It was unfair to expect that though but it was hard not to cause of the potential this game has.

After I had some time with the patch my so called, "love for the game" faded. Something was missing when I played Backbreaker and it wasn't the run game or the lack of a franchise mode. My unrealistic expectations had ruined the game for me.

Well after about a 6 month lay off from playing, I found myself sitting in the house bored as heck and I happen to glance over at Backbreaker. I thought what the heck and popped it in for old time sake.

Instantly that feeling hit me again. I felt like I was playing the game for the very first time and I was having a blast. I believe I learned to accept Backbreaker for what it is rather than what it's not. So over the past few days I have been addicted. I have found a new love for the game.

As a result of playing again, I decided to bring the camera out and record a video.:D

Hey what's up guys? My question/comment today is has/will Coach Cal have a negative impact on Kentucky's basketball tradition? Now I don't mean getting us in trouble with the NCAA, but I am talking about the type of players he recruits. I am only 21 years old, but I bleed blue through and through. When I was old enough to understand basketball, I mostly grew up with Tubby as our coach and got really attached to the players that have came and gone while he was our coach. Players like Tayshaun Prince, Patrick Sparks, Chuck Hayes, Keith Bogans, Gerald Fitch, Lukasz Obrzut to name a few.

Now what is so special about these guys you ask? These guys to me are what Kentucky basketball is all about. These guys gave us all they had for four years and the way they embraced UK, the memorable moments they gave us, and their character were all things that just screamed, Kentucky!.

Will Coach Cal ever give us these type of players? Don't get me wrong, I loved the past year we had, Wall and company were amazing to watch play. I just can't help not thinking that they were only here because they HAD to be. I enjoy Cal recruiting all of these great players, but they just don't "feel" like Kentucky type players. As long as Cal is our coach, we will mostly see "One and dones" that use UK and Cal as a stepping stone to the NBA. Maybe it's just me but that doesn't sound like Kentucky Basketball.

Now I will support them with all of my heart cause I love my Wildcats, it will just be hard to get attached to these guys cause once you get used to them, "POOF!" they're gone. Am I one of many that feel like this? Or am I just a homer of my childhood Wildcats? I just don't want the "Kentucky" name to be ruined. This place is the pinnacle of college basketball and select few are lucky enough to wear the blue and white. I just hope that Cal's players understand what it means to have "Kentucky" written across their chests.

It's that time of year again when everyone can't wait for the new Madden to hit store shelves. EA releases their annual teaser trailers with all of the cool new animations that are included in this years' game and all of the new "features". And with no surprise everyone jumps on the bandwagon with renewed hope that this is the year Madden is different, this is the year Madden fixes all the things we have had on our wishlist.

WAKE UP!!!!

Do not shell out your hard earned money for this game again guys. I know it comes off as me being a, "Madden Basher", but I'm not. I am just sick and tired of EA filling us full of lies. We are in the year 2010 and in order for us to get a TRUE simulation football game, we have to go back to 2007 for APF, and even 2004 for 2K5.

Why has EA not surpassed these games in crucial football gameplay? Every single expression of football is done better in APF than in Madden 10 and I can guarantee Madden 11. From blocking, to passing, to route running, to tackling... I can go on forever. There is absolutely no excuse for this. Sure Madden has Online Franchise and Gus Johnson, but they do not have simulation football! How can you release a product six and five years ago on a last gen console(Madden 04, Madden 05) and it outperform Madden 10 on a NEXT gen console? Instead of moving forward, Madden has ran backward.

We need to stop giving in to EA until they make a true effort to make Madden better. Yes locomotion will give the game a fresh feel, and I'm sure Pro Tak has been improved. It is just sad that these improvements will still not be better than what is offered in APF2K8 and 2K5.

I can't tell people how to spend their money, but please, think about what is going on here. Madden used to be a no question buy, but now it is just not worth the full retail price. We need to stand up and let our voice be heard, only then will EA respect us and give us the game we want.
